Park Designs Black Iron Christmas Stocking Hanger

I looked everywhere for simple, non-tacky sticking holders that didn’t have a large decorative weight attached to them — since I want my mantle decor to be the focus, and not my stocking holders. These recede into the background perfectly.These holders use an ingenious method of balancing on the mantle, using the weight of the stocking. It actually helps if you put things in the stockings to act as weights; but is not necessary.I now have 6 of these, and I’m quite pleased with them. They aren’t quite as stable as a weighted holder — if you bump the stocking hard it’s possible to knock the holder off the mantle. We don’t have anything breakable in the stockings, though so I’m not worried about that.I’m happy to have found these.

They were smaller than I expected but worked very well. Performed as well as my much larger hangers of the same design

UPDATE AFTER CHRISTMAS 2019: Hooks held quite a bit of weight Christmas morning, with no problems at all! So happy with these!These work great on my very thick mantel! Every year I struggle to hang stockings, I've tried Command hooks, Command hooks with wire strung between, hanging them on the fireplace screen, etc. This year, slid these on, and the stocking are done! It would be nice if there was a way to adjust the height of the hook up and down, and also it would be nice if the top part had some sort of grippy surface to keep the hook from slipping. Haven't tried them with any weight yet, but so far so good, and the stockings look great hanging up on the mantel!

Simple, elegant and functional. I don't think there is a better value for your money on the market. They are well made and designed to use physics to keep them in place. I have a relatively small mantle and it is filled with Christmas decorations the kids make every year so I didn't want big stocking holders that would take up even more space. And, I knew we were only going to be in that house for one Christmas so I didn't want to spend a small fortune on something I may never use again. I found these and decided to give them a try. They are exactly as they are advertised. They hold empty stockings and filled stockings. They look very nice on the mantle but don't take up a lot of room. I am definitely keeping them for future Christmases even thought I thought it would just be for this year.

We wanted stocking hooks that looked nice, but was also able to hold the stockings with items inside, without worrying about whether or not they would stay on the mantel. All the stocking hooks we looked at were upwards of $30, and only held up to 5 lbs. These hangers, on the other hand, were $7.50 each, and other reviews said they held significantly more than 5 lbs. When we received these, I hung one with a stocking on it, and dropped to 5-lb weights into the stocking. That sucker didn't Budge!. I think the stocking will give out before the hook does. I am so happy with these - I can decorate any way I want with them, they only cost $7.50 each, and they hold a significant amount of weight easily. As with other reviews, I would recommend that you hold both the stocking and the hook when hanging and when removing the stocking from the hanger. So glad we found these!!

The stocking hangers that have resin trees or characters on them can be cute but they can also be very pricey. I was not wanting to spend $150 for five stocking hangers. The personalized stocking themselves cost me a lot less than that! But these hangers arrived today and they are absolutely perfect. The focus is on the decorated mantle itself as well as the stockings, not on the hangers. The length is absolutely perfect for my mantle. I think I will probably add a small red bow to each hanger but other than that, these are perfect. I stuffed one of the stockings to see if it would hold everything and remain in place and it certainly did. I can't speak highly enough of these.

Love these stocking hangers - they're simple yet elegant, and very sturdy. We stuff a LOT into stockings, and these hold up just fine. Fast shipping, too.

I hoped this item would become an instant favorite and have a place on my mantel for years to come. At $15 each, I was slightly hesitant to purchase two of them, but the word "Iron" really inspired feelings of quality and strength within me. I pictured the heavy, wrought iron tools my great-grandfather, a blacksmith from Scotland, used in his workshop and now were proudly on display in my own home. When I received the package, I honestly thought an empty envelope had been shipped. I'm not a metallurgic engineer or anything, but these skinny, flimsy stocking hangers feel like anything but Iron. I would not be surprised if they were capable of floating in water. Avoid this product.

The only somewhat reasonably priced stocking hangers I could find. Not quite long enough for what I wanted but will try them hanging from somewhere else.
