Unusual Lampshade
What sold me on this lamp is the unusual lampshade. It is so unusual. It also is a 3-way lamp which is what I wanted. It was also available in several colors so I chose the eggplant. It works perfectly in my newly redecorated living room. The nice thing was that the lamp shade came assembled. This lamp is a great buy.

Great with Caveat
Cool lamp but 2 things to consider. The seam is at longest point of shade as others have mentioned, so if longest side is on the left (with cord directly in back!) the seam will be showing from left side. I angles it a little so it's toward back but not exactly. This works for me but I could never handle it showing directly. Your choice. I knew going in and am fine. Takes 3 way 100W bulb but not a must.

I like the lamp, size is good, color is good, it does make a statement, but it took some time to like the shade because its tipped slanted.I would of liked a regular shade better, u have to angle this to understand the way its suppose to be to make it look good. I like it, different,

Beautiful Lamp
This is a beautiful lamp and I love the eggplant purple. The a-symmetrical lamp shade give this a unique look. I love it.

Used / open box return resale: shade was visibly dented.
I bought a USED / open box version of this lamp and shade. The lamp seemed okay, though the design or fit of the fittings where the shade attaches to the lamp are finicky. But the shade itself was visibily dented in several places. If Amazon is supposed to be inspecting returns before selling them, they didn't to a good job here.

This lamp is absolutely gorgeous!
I am so glad I ordered this lamp and I was pleasantly surprised when they arrive today and looks exactly like it is pictured. The shade and the lamp base arrived in perfect.
