The expiration date was about 17 months away on the bottle of Fulton Fish Market Sweet Bourbon Seafood Glaze that I got, so that’s a plus. The glaze is in a glass bottle which somehow makes condiments seem a little nicer than when they come in plastic bottles. It was easy to pour but still pretty thick. It has a sweet soy sauce smell to it. One of my family members who doesn’t eat a lot of spicy stuff said they could taste a hint of heat in it, but I didn’t detect any pepper (I like spicy things so my spice detection threshold is different.)We tried it as a dipping sauce for shrimp and it was all right, although the sweetness was a little more than we liked. We also poured a few tablespoons of sauce and a little water into a pan, then warmed some shrimp up in the mix. It was better this way, as the flavor got into the shrimp meat more and the sweetness was a bit diluted. It has some big chunks in it (onion and/or garlic) which would probably give your food a nice appearance if you brush it on as you grill, although we didn’t try it this way.The unanimous opinion in our household is that the sauce is a bit too sweet. We would have liked for the other flavors (garlic, lemon, etc.) to shine through and make it more on the savory side. We didn’t dislike it, but it’s not our favorite either. Tastes vary though and it may be just what another cook wants.

This bourbon sauce is amazing, and it’s low calories. This is a must buy. It tastes better than Cheddar’s bourbon glaze.

I USE THIS ON LOTS OF DIFFERENT MEAT , BUT ITS SO GOOD ON BAR-B-Q STEAKS, AND YOU DON'T NEED MUCH JUST A LITTLE BRUSH ON AND ITS SOOO GOOD !

It is horrible it kills the salmon do no buy.
