First time smith!
I am starting my first smith shop and these were amazing for the price, with high quality, and perfect size. They take the heat and worked great. I dropped one and it did hardly any damage and looked the same as if I had not dropped it mostly.

Bricks seem like good fire bricks but just discovered I can get a box of 6 from menards for less…
Good quality fire brick; I cent the down with a wet saw so they would fit in my furnace. They are holding up to the heat and give my crucible a good solid spot to sit. Unfortunately I found a box of 6 at Menards for like $18; I guess I should have looked around locally a little more.

Replaced old stove bricks in blazeking
Nice heavy brick to retain heat. I replaced all the bricks in my blazeking woodstove and these are about twice as heavy as the original ones. The bricks arrived on time and were packaged good enough that none of them were broken, kinda surprised as I live in interior alaska and you never know how it's going to with shipping up here.

I use these with a home foundry for under my crucible.
I use these for my home foundry for under the crucible in which I melt metal for casting. I cut each brick in half to make square sections. These are durable enough in my foundry (melting things with temps up to melting brass and copper (Around 1100 degrees celsius) that I have gone through two squares since I purchased these well over a year ago.
