These work really well. They install fast and are very quiet after they're installed. I just questioned whether it's taking my receive away but probably not

Well who knows if they work. Could be all in my head but dies what they are supposed to do. Good sizes in the kit.

Unable to find the ferrite mix formula. I don't see much difference in the noise level after installing them. Easy to use. But are they effective?? Go buy ferrite with clearly defined mix number. Yes, you'll pay more.

I thought I was going to have to do a lot more work than just slapping a ferrite clamp on my amp cable, but yet, that and one on the HDMI cable that was causing my EMI issues seems to have resolved it. This wasn't your usual 60 cycle hum. The humbuckerknocks that right out. This was a much higher tone, around an A5, fluctuating hiss coming from, of all things, the HDMI cable on one of my computer monitors where I do my home studio recording. I don't pretend to understand what voodoo science is going on here, and I won't pretend to give you advice on how to deal with specific EMI issues. I just followed advice I received on /r/AudioEngineering, but in my case I didn't even need to wrap the cable as a few posts had suggested I might need to do. Just the ferrite chokes wasd enough. For that matter, I don't even know if I needed a choke on my amp cable since the EMI seems to originate from the HDMI cable and was being picked up by my guitar pickups (unfortunately no amount of shielding in the cavity was going to help here!). But yeah, these are cheap, and they work.
