The 3 1/2" are the same as the 1.25 green t-post and the 1.33 Red t-post. The 1.25 and 1.33 means 1.25lbs or 1.33lbs per linear Foot. If so, is the mounting plate parallel to the t-post?** A: Yes, we do that when we want to attach a vertical board to a t-post. We put the bracket at the bottom of the board pointing downward and the one at the top end pointing upward. Then we attach the vertical board to it and now it will not move up or down and locked into place. The bracket slides onto the t-post. It's designed to use screws to mount a fence rail horizontally on the bracket.
