Time saving, durable machine
Well constructed for noncommercial use. Easy to use with one exception. The plunger spring is quite strong. It would have been a simple addition to have it lock in the fully open position to be able to load the feed tray. But fighting to keep it open and load was a slight challenge, until I used a small vise-grip to lock the plunger rod in the open position.I also had to make a temporary extension that clips on to the exit chute in order for the shreds to drop directly into my 30 quart stock pot.Other than that, it shreds well, easy to adjust the size of the cut, it can cut a small head of cabbage, cut into quarters in roughly 40 seconds. The blades are extremely sharp. Use caution handling them.It is also easy to clean. The instructions, like most products made in China, are poor to say the least. They make no mention of the "safety latches" and what they are for. I figured out after some disassembly that they secure the blade and depth of cut attachments to the motor drive rod.Other than the confusion and the couple of issues mentioned above. This machine will get a lot of use for my 12 pound sauerkraut batches and my summertime health salad.

Works well.
The compartment for loading items to be sliced somewhat limited. Large round heads of lettuce and cabbage need to be quartered to fit. Very sharp out of box. Minimal effort to operate. Slice so thin almost can see thru veggies. Works well.

Great slicer
For the most part the slicer was great, we just wish there was a stop when you pull the handle back to put the food in as the way it is you have to try and hole the spring back with one hand and put the food in with the other hand.

Vegetable cutter
We made sourkrout with the cutter .It's amazing. I can wait to try it on all kinds of veggies. It sure takes the work out of it. And cleans up great . No more back breaking sourkrout board.

Not a fan.
The blade is sharp, but it is difficult to get the vegetables set in a way that they are not turning sideways and smashing. So the ease of use I would say poor. Also, it is plastic with suction cups for your countertop and I think putting that all together is a disaster. Did not send it back but probably will not be using it.

Blades are very, very sharp. Recommend protective gloves.
Nice appliance. So far, used to cut carrots, white potatoes, sweet potatoes and the tip of my pinky finger while rinsing the blade set part of the appliance. Not kidding, those blades are razor sharp. Have ordered protective gloves. Appliance makes consistent slices just shy of 1/2" thick or less. Slicing the vegetables I did required a technique to get consistent slices. Can't just drop the food in the tray and crank the handle. That would probably work ok for cabbage and similar soft bulky foods, but not hard tubular shaped foods.

Gets the Fruit Job Down...
I use this to Dry pears and works great. Get the pears somewhat soft and cut about 1/4 inch slices and than cut the cores out with a small plastic pipe and dry them for about 15 hours. They are great and something you cannot buy anywhere. Your Family will love you over these Great Pears.

This slicer is awesome
The media could not be loaded. I like everything about it. When making sauerkraut it makes slicing cabbage so much faster and easier than the old manual mandolin slicers. It adjusts easily to your desired thickness. I was worried the motor wouldn't be strong enough, but it is. I have used it 2 years in a row now to make sauerkraut and a few times to slice cucumbers for pickles and it will still slice a tomato in seconds.
