Good source to prep for cissp

I recently used the ISC2 CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional Official Study Guide & Practice Tests Bundle by Sybex to prepare for my CISSP exam, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The study guide provides an incredibly thorough breakdown of all eight domains of the CISSP Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). The content is well-organized, easy to follow, and full of practical examples that really helped me grasp some of the more complex topics. What I found most valuable were the practice tests. The questions were challenging and felt very similar to the actual exam. The detailed explanations for both correct and incorrect answers helped me identify gaps in my knowledge and understand why certain choices were better than others. It really boosted my confidence as exam day approached. I also appreciated the extra online resources, like flashcards and end-of-chapter quizzes, which were great for quick reviews. That said, it’s a dense book, and I think having some background in IT security or pairing it with other materials might be helpful for someone completely new to the field. Overall, this bundle was a game-changer for me. I passed my CISSP exam on the first try, and I credit a lot of my success to the clarity and depth of this guide. I highly recommend it to anyone aiming to earn their CISSP certification!

This is a great study guide! It is very comprehensive and makes studying easier. I am still preparing for the test but I wanted to take the time to say that this was and it's a great investment! You cannot go wrong with Mike's books!

One of the go to study bundles for the cissp. When combined with the authors videos it is very thorough and prepares you for the exam.

While I'm only around page 400, I've found this textbook to be repetitive and bloated. In order to take the CISSP exam, you must have at least five years of cybersecurity experience. However, take page 408 as an example, this blurb takes most of a page to discuss Android and iOS. If you five years IT experience, and don't know what these are, then you aren't ready to study for this exam. It would be fantastic if ISC2 would remove all of the filler in this curriculum that's covered by entry-level certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+). In addition, there are a ridiculous number of references to other chapters that are unnecessary (e.g. page 21). This wouldn't be such a daunting task if entry-level study materials were removed from this textbook. There's no reason to take a thousand pages to say something you could say in seven hundred, fairly disappointed overall. Will update after finishing the textbook and taking the exam. Update 4-17-2026: I passed the CISSP exam yesterday on question 100. It took me about 8 months to get through all this material. Since I passed on the first try, I've updated my review to 4 stars. Excellent study resource after all.

If you are looking to get your certification, this is a must have. Each copy also has a link and code to the official site to use their practice tests, materials, and to focus on certain domains for testing. Do not sleep on this.

Between this book and Destination Certification's CISSP Exam Study Guide, I passed the CISSP the first time with no stress at all. I was surprised at how prepared I was actually.

Muy buen libro, tanto para preparar el examen como para el trabajo diario Me ha parecido un libro muy completo y útil. Lo mejor, en mi opinión, es la parte de preguntas tipo examen, porque los cuestionarios ayudan mucho a practicar y a familiarizarse con el formato. Para preparar el CISSP, esa parte aporta bastante valor. Además, la guía incluye prácticamente todo el contenido necesario, así que no solo sirve para estudiar el examen, sino también como referencia para el día a día si trabajas en ciberseguridad. Hay conceptos que están muy bien explicados y que resultan útiles a nivel profesional. En resumen, es una compra muy recomendable tanto para quien esté preparando la certificación como para quien quiera reforzar conocimientos de seguridad.

Denso e rico. Incrível qualidade de leitura. ATENÇÃO: O exame a que esse livro representa, vai mudar em Abril de 2027. Se planejar fazer a certificação depois dessa data, compre ciente que vai precisar de material adicional de estudo para o próximo exame. Fique atento às mudanças.

Excellent book. I bought this combo for Rs 4.7k in one of Amazon offers and never turned to other books. Very simple language , well explained concepts with a lot of examples. I don't know whether the sample questions in this book will help the actual Cissp exam since these are simple questions(not the 'think like a manager' questions). It's a start for CISSP. It's a 1000 page book and take s a lot of time to complete. However, after u complete this and some other online resources, you will be perfectly ready for Cissp. Quality of book is OK.

The CISSP bible and go to for all of your studies, really helped setting the foundation for all the required knowledge, always going back to confirm or deny something I may have picked up from YouTube or a forum, special call out to Mike Chapple one of the co-authors of the book who i spoke to after finishing the book and the accompanying practice test book, after a short conversation he willed me on to booking the exam, today I passed it, so happy!
