I live in Ecuador where cheddar cheese is a rarity. I had these bars muled in for me. It is a delicious cheese that I have been missing for years.

I like the flavor of the cheese but I'm disappointed that I can't make this like grilled cheese, or anything that requires melted cheese. This cheese doesn't melt at all.

Love that it's shelf stable, until you open it...being able to include it in a gift basket, is so much easier & convenient.

This is a type of cheddar that tastes exactly like the flavoring agent in the product Cheese-its.Be cautious making toasted cheese sandwiches with this. . . it doesn't melt, and won't run like sharp cheddar.I love to toast bread and lay sharp cheddar slices over it for further treatment in a microwave. The cheddar slices melt and run all over the toast and down into the microwavable ceramic plate, making for a wonderful breakfast respite.. . . Don't try it with this cheese. It just sits in place on the toast and burns while you're waiting for it to melt, growing hard as a brick upon cooling.. . . You might consider ordering a cold chisel from Amazon; you'll need one.I won't order it again. Looks like the only way to have large blocks of real, sharp cheddar is via brick and mortar stores.Amazon could increase its bottom line, IMHO by offering sharp and extra sharp 2-lb bricks at a fair price with Prime shipping.Wherez tha cheese, Amazon? Where's tha low-cost Prime shipping?

This cheese is one of the worst cheeses I’ve had! It tasted like it was smoked in a house fire. The cheese alone was poor quality at best! I will not recommend this product to anyone!

We took two blocks of the pepper jack cheese with us wilderness camping where we did not have access to keep our food cold. The blocks were larger than expected. The taste and texture were good and we enjoyed this as a snack while day tripping away from base camp.

As a cheesaholic whose favorite is cheddar this cheese is one of the most flavorful creamy and delicious.
