RV Slide Out Ski Set, RV Floor Saver Corner Edge Protector Tracks Prevent Sticking/Catching (Do Not Include Butyl)

I bought the Geataat upgraded stainless steel RV slides to replace the old plastic ones on my camper, and it’s a big improvement. The stainless steel feels sturdy and high-quality, with no sharp edges, and it should easily handle weather, sun, and road wear without cracking like plastic. Installation was quick—the screw holes lined up perfectly, and it fit snugly without gaps. It also looks a lot better, giving my RV a cleaner, more modern look. After a few trips, it’s holding up well with no rattles or signs of rust. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade if you want something durable and low-maintenance.

These seem to be working great, but installation was a pain. I bought 3 different stainless steel drill bits and nothing could get through. Ended up marking them and taking them to a machine shop to get drilled. Doing that in the first place would have been cheaper than the bits that didn't work. I would buy these again, but just make sure you have a way to get them drilled. The shop here said low speed and lots of pressure.

Easy installation even though it didn't come with instructions. I just used a small pry bar on the inside of my slide and put a small 1/4" spacer to lift my slide slightly up off of the slide rail it slides on and removed the screws from the old broken plastic one from the inside and then slide these new ones in and replace the screws, took out the shims and now my slide moves in and put smoother and faster with less drag or power... Defiently better than the plastic one installed from the factory that were cracking and breaking causing my slide to run slowly.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I did want the plastic that would eventually crackFunctionality:Pretty easy to install if you have some basic skills. I used a cut off saw and a drill press to drill the mounting holes on the skis. My slider underliner was starting to tear on the edges. I got these to cover them up and make for easy sliding. They work well!! The slide moves in and out effortlessly compared to how it did before. Took about 3 hours to install by myself. I used a floor jack w blocks to lift the slide to slip the skis in. Removing old trim and cleaning up the surface area before the install took me a while. I was figuring things out.

Put them on like any other set I've bought. I do this for a living so it was installed correctly. As soon as I ran the slide in, they broke. Not worth the time or aggravation.
