I have noticed while developing and testing my program, this cable sometimes requires the drivers to be loaded on some pcs while on others have auto-detected. All so far have been Win 7 machines. Pretty quick fix by installing the drivers (which were not included on my CD - mine was for another product/cable altogether) from the StarTech.com site. This was by far the easiest step of the project, so despite the minor annoyance I am keeping it as 5 stars because it certainly works as intended for an inexpensive price. I am ordering another as a spare for myself for future mods and/or other customers with similar needs. It allows me to easily transfer disk images to the Apple IIe to write them to disk and to back up my old disks to preserve them. Setup was very simple, just plug it in and follow the directions on adtpro.com and I was good to go.
