An acquired taste
I had never heard of the brand The Artisan Drinks Company before and was excited to try this product range out. The cans are small at only 250ml. I say small, I guess it's subjective but I am an adult man and would generally make myself drinks bigger than 250ml at a time. The liquid is clear and of course, being soda, is sparklingly fizzy. The taste is called "Spicy Ginger & Lime Soda with a hit of Mint" and I can say that to me it tastes a good 60 or 70 per cent like ginger and then most of the rest (a further 30 or 20 per cent) is mint. I do not really taste the lime so much. I should point out I am having this drink by itself. It is ice cold as it has been refrigerated over night having arrived yesterday. Upon my first taste I found the flavour a little strange, like a herbal toothpaste was my first thought! But no, settling in to the drink and having further sips the taste is growing on me. I think it's still a bit of an acquired taste, but it is difficult to say as taste is highly subjective. What I would say is that if you know you like ginger flavoured things and/or drinks with a kick of mintiness about them then you may enjoy these. They are unusual and could make for an interesting conversation piece at a family barbecue, a dinner party or other kinds of get-together. The cans and the drink itself seem well-made for what it's worth, and price-wise I guess it's worth it if you're willing to pay it! I think the flavour is an acquired taste for sure, but could also go well as a mixer with vodka or gin perhaps.

delicious and refreshing.
if you like the odd cheeky mojito then this flavoured soda is going to be a big hit.it's a lovely refreshing flavour that with a nice clean taste. it's a touch sweet but the mint balances it well.this is perfect just the way it is in a glass with some ice, on a really hot day, it will taste like ambrosia.for science we tried mixing it with some white caribbean rum and it too was incredibly delicious.given it's calorific and carb content sadly I can't indulge in this too often but my gf is almost certainly going to be stocking up as it was a big big hit.

Would go perfect with your favourite spirit
These 250ml cans of Artisan Spicy Ginger and Lime are actually very refreshing. My first thought was that it really reminded me of drinking Mojitos…but without the alcohol.I imagine these cans would be great with a shot or 2 of gin (or what ever spirit you like) poured in.You can really taste the ginger, lime and mint and it really is quite easy to drink.Fill the glass with ice, put in your favourite spirit and top up with a can of this and you’ve got yourself a nice summer drink…now, just to find a sunny hot day to go with it!!

OK, but not a taste that appeals to me
Spicy Ginger and Lime Soda with a hint of mint sounds pretty good to me. It actually sounded pretty similar to a different brands drink that although twice the cost, I really loved. The best before date on these is around 18 months away, and its a nice looking can. The ingredients aren't too bad and the price is pretty reasonable.Unfortunately over half the cans in my pack were extremely squished at the top, despite the outer packaging looking OK, which meant that opening the can and dispensing its contents became something of a black art. Hopefully thats just a one off with my particular pack. The taste, initially like lemonade, then the slight burn of ginger at the pack of my throat followed by a lime and mint followthrough.Sounds good, but I thought the mint was too much and the ginger wasn't adding much gingery-ness so much as a bit of throat warmth. My wife didn't like it at all and couldn't drink it as she said it reminded her of toothpaste, and once she'd put the idea in my head it did make me feel the same way - much like having a drink when you've just cleaned your teeth.Where it might work for me is as a mixer with other things to tame the minty-ness - something like a mojito based cocktail perhaps, where the lime and mint may feel at home. Despite my best efforts to like it, its just not one for me I'm afraid, however I did find a generous squirt of orange squash into the mix vastly improved it!Everybody's taste is different though and if you like the idea of it, its a reasonably priced soda with natural ingredients that you should give a try.

Yum!
Look, don't get me wrong - this is an extremely acquired taste. Ginger is always like marmite - you either love it or hate it. It's definitely toned down in this drink, it's not as strong as some other ginger beers and the hint of mint definitely takes the edge off it too. I think if you're a fan of those two ingredients you'll love it. The design of the can is also lovely and packaged very well. Definitely a fantastic pairing for gin!

Artisan Drinks Ginger & Lime Soda
This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.Each can comes securely sealed, whilst being a compact enough size to pop in a bag.The blend of flavours is quite interesting - I feel that the mint in particular wins out, then the spiciness of the ginger kicks in afterwards, though there is no noticeable aftertaste left behind. It actually tastes a little like a Mojito, just without the alcohol.Overall, it is a refreshing drink - more so if you chill it in the fridge first. A good value pack.

Great drink
I love Artisan drinks, especially fiery ginger beer so was keep to try out this soda as well. I think this is great, refreshing soda. I am going to try it in a few gin cocktails as well, as think it will be great for that.Great grink from great company.

Really Refreshing Soft Drink
- This is a refreshing soft drink with Ginger, Lime & Mint, with the mint not being too overpowering.- Nice size 250ml can, not too big so can be drank in one sitting with no waste- Sadly over half of these cans were badly damaged in transit so was only able to consume 4 of the cans, however there was enough salvaged for each of my family members to try, the kids not too keen on these however i would say its more of an acquired taste for an adult palate.- Happy to see these are flavoured naturally with stevia and not Aspartame which is found in many soft drinks.- Would be fantastic paired with gin for an alcoholic cocktail.
