Fits & clicks in my 2002 Ford Escort
Fits my 2002 Ford Escort and clicks when tightened. It has a tether and came with a little bag of plastic fasteners.I really don't understand what they expect the fasteners to attach to. They look more like the little clips that hold the interior of your car together.But I just took a small zip tie and attached the tether to my metal gas tank cover. Now I won't sit the cap on the back of my car and drive off and forget it!I'll update if I have any problems, but it looks sturdy and I expect it to outlast the life of the car.

Fits like it's supposed to .... clicks when tight.
This Motorad gas cap is for many Fords. Mine is an Expedition. The cap fits and clicks when it's properly tightened like it's supposed to. The recent Motorcraft caps don't click, even though it says right on the cap to tighten until clicks? WTH ? So I'm switching to the Motorad brand. It clicks when tight. The plastic rivets to retain the tether were all too small, so I yanked the tether off the old Motorcraft cap and swapped the tether instead. It's somewhat tethered now.

Said it fits, IT DOESNT!!!!
Amazon said it fits my car (2003 Ford Taurus) and it doesn’t. Very disappointed, will be returning and just buy one from Oreilys like I should of done in the first place. Lesson to be learned this is probably the 4th time Amazon said a part fit one of my vehicles and didn’t so won’t be going off what they say

Works OK. Overall very satisfied.
Installed on 2000 Mazda B2500. Tether is a tad longer than others I've used, but then I chose to attach it to the lowest rivet around the filler neck. I am unable to turn the filler cap after replacing it on the filler neck on my vehicle, but it seals with adequate friction if replaced firmly, so that I only saw a scan code one time. No more misplacing filler cap!
