Perfect connectors for the price. Seem to be ok quality but plastic feels less durable than others. Worked great for my couple of cords I've used them on.

If I could give this ten stars, I would. I previously made repairs to my extension cords with the only available plugs at that big orange home supply store. They were awful. They were extremely difficult to hook up to the prongs. It was a half hour per plug to repair the cord. There was no strain relief at all. I had to repeatedly wire them because there were being pulled out of the sockets.These new ones are literally perfect. It took me only 5 or 10 minutes to wire them up. They have a see through housing, so you know exactly how far the wire is in before you turn the screw to tighten it. You don't have to wrap 'em around the screws, you just slide them in and turn the screw. The strain relief holds tightly.Some reviews complain that the plug. It does not fit the socket securely. I don't see any issue.

Great product

I've wired dozens of extension cords...maybe over a hundred in my lifetime, and I know which wire goes in which slot. STILL, it's nice to see a black dot or some kind of identification on the spot where the hot wire goes. The blades are both silver colored, so no help there. As I said, I know where the wires go, but a few extra seconds of double checking is wasted time in my opinion. This would rate a solid FIVE stars if the color coding was there. In use, these are as good as the ones you pay over five dollars each for in the home improvement store, and you get both male and female in sets for far less than that. Recommended.

I really like the means of connecting the wires. Just like the best cord ends, the wires are inserted into a hole in the clear plastic insulating block, then a screw is tightened and that pulls a metal tab to securely hold the wires in place. That works great. I’ve struggled for years with cord ends that use a machine screw with the wire looped around it. I can never get a secure connection with those. The two halves of the connector are held together by two sheet metal type screws, rather than three machine screws. It works, but I’d prefer machine screws. The cord clamp is also held together by two sheet metal type screws. The cord clamp is held in place by a dovetail connection between the housing and the clamp halves. That seems to be a good design.I’ve searched for years for an affordable, easy to install cord end. These are by far the best value I’ve found.

High quality, durable, ease of installation

I've installed many, many new plugs in my 66 years. As an electrical engineer, aircraft mechanic and inspector and retired professional airline pilot, I can say that these are the best quality and best engineered replacement plugs I've ever seen. The materials are excellent, the fit and engineering are perfect. They just work great.
