Adorable little unit. Draws moisture out of air well.
For the size that this is, I would say the appropriate room would be a bathroom or a closet. Or perhaps a couple of these in a room such as a living room. It helps in any room, but the capacity of operation of a unit this size means you'd feel the effect best in a smaller space. I've had it on since the day I got it, and at its pace of dehumidification, it takes six to seven days to fill the container. I live in a humid area in the subtropics. ---I have another dehumidifier of similar size, and they both draw out the same amount of water. So this unit doesn't lag behind its peers. What I like about this unit specifically is that it has a simple plug. The adapters that are on most dehumidifiers get hot and sometimes unplug themselves because they hang heavy in the socket. ---I also really like the light effect on this unit. It's surround, so I don't have to angle it any certain way. The colors shift with enough time to see them all, and it doesn't come across as a blinking light in the peripheral. Some other units shift too fast and it annoys the eye because it draws too much attention. This one is more smooth and mellow. It illuminates enough to be used as a night light. ---The air intake is also surround, which I like more than I thought I would. My other dehumidifier has the air intake on the back, so when I put it on a shelf or cabinet the air intake faces the wall and isn't as effective. I have to use that one with the ugly back side facing out, so it's nice that this unit is cute all around. ---The buttons to operate it are simple push buttons. On/off unit & on/stop/off light. The unit has to be on for the light to work. For the light, you can stop it on a certain color if you don't want it to shift. I mention that the buttons are push, because it's easier to operate for someone who has trouble with tactile buttons. I'll again compare this to my other dehumidifier, which has hidden buttons that have me mashing at it until I finally hit the right spot. I don't much care, but that detail can cause frustration for someone elderly or disabled, so that makes this unit more approachable for a wider demographic. ---The only thing I can pick on is that the white plastic top doesn't look so deluxe in the daytime. You can tell by how the plastic looks that this isn't an expensive item. But you can't see that at night, and this is not something I use purely as a decorative item anyways. ---Overall, well worth its price tag. I recommend this unit for its cute led light as well as ability to draw moisture from the air.

Very effective and noise blends into the background
I bought two similar dehumidifiers in the same purchase and ended up returning the other one because this one was SO MUCH BETTER. It has been capturing moisture consistently when the other one stopped catching anything. The noise is very quiet, easy white noise to live with—I keep it by my bedside table in the bedroom and if anything it helps as a white noise machine to cover up the downstairs neighbor playing video games late at night. I’m normally a very light sleeper and this hasn’t bothered me.The light is effective and does as described, and I like the simplicity of the buttons and function of the machine. It works, it was affordable, and it doubles as a night light and white noise machine. It does work better when the room temperature is a little higher, which obviously goes hand in hand with using more power for heating since I’m using it in the wet and cold PNW fall/winter/spring. But I’ll take the peace of mind that there’s less moisture settling around my bedroom.

Great small humidifier.
I like this humidifier a lot. It has a lot of things going for it. It is small, quiet, has a neat light and works as intended. We have been using it in the bed room. It is summer and very humid. This helps keep the humidity under control. It is prefect for small rooms such as bed rooms, dens, office, closet etc. The reservoir is large enough to hold a few days worth of collected water so you do not need to dump it as much. It is so quiet that you can’t even hear it run at night. I like it so much, I may buy another.

< 3 MONTHS = MOTOR N/G
REVISED 27-SEPT-2022... After less than 3 months of use, the motor has gone bad. Shame on me for not seeing it only has a 30-day return / replacement policy. No warranty... I would NOT recommend this product.Great product. Only challenge is getting the on/off button to function as expected - you need to hit the “sweet spot” to get it to work

Tried 3 different models
500 Square Feet (6.14"D x 6.14"W x 9.37"H);1100 Cubic Feet(5.1"D x 6.1"W x 8.7"H). This one is 320 Square Feet (5.63"D x 5.63"W x 8.86"H). The first two have a removable power supply. I was not comfortable that both power supply got really hot after only an hour of use. This one is a electrical cord connected to the device and did not get hot at all. I tested the first two and larger one collected more water. The I compared this one with the larger one and collected the same amount of water (maybe even a little more, but I only did it for a day compare to couple days with the first two). I like that it's not as large as the first one, a power cord that didn't get hot, and maybe it does work better because the entire top is open to collect the humidity versus the first two is only on one side. Note: None of them can efficiently prevent the condensation collected on my ceiling, but at least the large half wall length mirror gets clear up in a short time. The bathroom it's used for is ~63 square feet of space with ordinary ceiling height. I can't say about the durability since I've only used it for about two weeks.

Turns off occasionally
This dehumidifier does a fairly good job of helping reduce the humidity in my kitchen near the bread box. I was having a persistent problem of bread molding very quickly and this is improved that somewhat. The one thing that I do not like is that the unit seems to shut off periodically when it is nowhere near full. Pressing the power button usually does not turn it back on. I have to unplug it, plug it back in, and then hit the power button. It doesn't happen on a daily basis, but it happens often enough to be irritating.
