This is an excellent product. I purchased this as we were having difficulty finding an appropriate USB to USBC cable for our MG ZR EV car, the connection is notoriously fickle if you want to transfer data and link to iSmart Car system as well as to use Car Play. Well this little beauty worked first time, it took seconds to set up and link via Bluetooth to my phone which in turn displayed Car Play on the car screen. There is no lag between Apple Music and the car sound system. Apple and Google Maps work like a dream and the switching between Car Play and iSmart, the MG operating system, is seamless. Multiple users can link up but only one at a time but that saves time and effort when you regularly switch drivers or have a lot of people on a journey I highly recommend this product.

So far so good. Had this in my car for the past 6 days. In an out of the car multiple time. Never had a connection issue as yet. No faffing, a little message appears on my screen momentarily before it the device connects.Took literal seconds to set up. Plug in, Bluetooth devices, connect and done.The only negative (being picky) is a 2second delay skipping songs. Sounds silly but when it wasn’t there before it’s noticeable lol.Otherwise, very happy so far. Cheapish, did exactly what I wanted.No apparent audio issues with maps or other apps.

Absolutely brilliant Apple car play adapter, really easy to set up and instant connection with no lag every time. Angled adapter and cables are a great addition to the pack making different set ups possible.

I was extremely impressed with this CarPlay Adapter. Once the easy setup via Bluetooth was completed (the plug-and-play setup was very straightforward, making it accessible even for those less tech-savvy), I experienced a seamless transition from wired to wireless CarPlay, enhancing my driving convenience. Its compact design ensures it integrates unobtrusively into my vehicle’s interior. The connection is quick and stable with minimal lag in audio and navigation functions. A great device all round!

Incredibly good value, just plug and play via bluetooth connection, quality is great for the price and the usb cables are a great addition, also appears and feels to be made of good material, would happily buy again if needed

* Four stars as there is room for improvement.Bought this because I have wired CarPlay, which is very good for longer journeys where you need to keep the phone charged, but its a bit of a faff for day-to-day short trips where you are in and out of the car multiple times. Set up is quick and logical, just plugged it in, the car (Ford with Sync 3) immediately saw it as a CarPlay device and ran through a quick setup with my iPhone. Speed of connection each time you start the car is near instant, sound quality is excellent and all the usual CarPlay controls work seamlessly.....steering wheel buttons and "Hey Siri" etc.* What could be improved is the speed of reaction to music navigation buttons. When the phone is wired a prod of the 'skip track' in instantaneous but through this there is a short (a second or so) pause which is a bit distracting.* Sometimes I doesn't connect - which to be fair isn't that different to the wired experience - but its more common, probably a couple times a week. A quick pull out of the USB socket and back in sorts it but its not 100% reliable so bare this in mind.It has made CarPlay a far nicer experience as I now leave my phone in my pocket - which is safer - and just start, drive and enjoy the usual positives over Ford's grim user interface.

Satisfied that this works long term | I brought this 5 or 6 months ago and initially after having owned for a few weeks it became a bit hit and miss connection wise which i was worried about after having read other reviews.However, I updated it following adivce and since then it has been 100% reliable and connects seamlessly everytime. I am using it in a 2016 ford transit custom and as you can see plug it in via the usb in the cubby hole on the top of the dash. Phone connected is an apple i phone 15 pro max on the latest IOS. 100% recommended as a cheap solution and also with the i phone battery life dont have to worry about a cable on long jouneys when using sat nav.
