I made a huge error!! I have an ulcer so I can't eat onions so my dogs have never been in danger from onion toxicity cause I don't buy them. I tried a crockpot roast seasoning and was oblivious and totally forgot that onion powder could be in the seasoning, which it was. I gave all three of my dogs a piece of the roast. Every two days another developed diarrhea with blood. Someone recommended slippery elm since the diarrhea started Saturday evening and I couldn't see the vet till Monday. I got it overnight and figured if it didn't help I'd have to take her to the emergency vet hospital. The next day she was better. All three recovered and are fine. I can't recommended if your dog eats something toxic to wait & see but I was fortunate this slippery elm worked. My Yorkie was the last one to get sick and she took 2 full days of dosing before she recovered but the other two were better after one day, 2 doses. Two didn't mind the flavor and even seemed to like it but my Jack Russell didn't like it on his food so I squirted in in his mouth. He preferred letting me do that rather than adding it to his food. I'm grateful I ordered this & received it so quickly!

Typically I take the pills but I feel they always take long to get results and I usually have the slippery elm smell caught in my throat. With this product it is easy to take the dosages and the taste is great with water. I also immediately noticed results within the first 24 hours so I completely recommend.

The taste of this reminds me of prune juice. The instructions say to mix it with a small amount of water but I'm able to take it on its own and just chase it with water. This is said to be a good supplement for womans digestive and vaginal health, so I think it's worth a try if you're not pregnant or breastfeeding.

Please be careful with opening this bottle. It is very sharp on the bottom edge of the metal cap. I got a deep cut my finger the first time that I opened the bottle.
