I admit it. I make mistakes. One of which is cleaning my washing machine with white vinegar or bleach. But I didn't know better. I didn't know that products like this existed. Kept in a strong plastic container, individually wrapped to keep them ready to use. That they would go in the washer and run without any further effort on my part. That they would leave the washer smelling not mildewy, bleachy, perfumey, or any other "ey" that I can think of. Just clean, fresh, and ready to help clothes become clean and fresh.

Our washing machine is probably twenty years old, but my wife treats it well and I try to make sure to keep it maintained so it will continue to provide great service. It still looks and operates great, and I feel the quality is better than the new units available today. I'll admit that I hadn't thought about washing machine cleaning products before seeing these, but it makes sense to clean out the interior parts that I can't access easily. When I saw these I showed my wife and she liked the idea, so I ordered a pack. They actually arrived the next day, so we tried them out right away. You simply drop a tablet into your washer and run a cycle. It didn't recommend any particular temperature, so I used hot water with a cold rinse. After the cycle was finished I wiped out the tub and seals. I did get some residue off of the seals. The interior of the machine looked great after the cleaning cycle. We found a second use for the tablets by accident. Our house is old, and the washer doesn't empty into a wall-mounted drain, but rather an old kitchen-style cast iron double sink. The sink gets a build-up of soap scum from the dirty wash water After running the cleaning cycle, I noticed the soap scum in the sink was softened. I decided to fill the sink with hot water and toss in a tablet. After letting it just soak for an hour or so, I drained the water and most of the scum just rinsed down the drain! I used a paper towel to wipe a couple of spots that still had some scum, and the sink looked great! These come in a 50-count pack, and they recommend once a month usage, so these will last years. Based on the performance, the results, and the price, I most definitely recommend these for your home.

Easy to use. Open the container. Take out one packet (two if your washer really smells). Place the white tablet in the tub of the washer and either hit your "clean" cycle or start a wash cycle with hot water. After the cycle runs wipe out the seal and it's good to go for another 30 days. I didn't notice any type of smell from the washer, other then maybe a "clean" smell, after I used this product. My washer didn't seem to be all that dirty to begin with but it's recommended that I do a cleaning every 30 days. Or sooner if I'm washing a lot of loads of soiled laundry. Directions for use are printed on the outside of the container and on each individual package. Environmentally friendly and septic safe. If you are looking for a way to keep your clothes washer clean, these tablets are certainly a good choice.

I have to be honest, I had no idea that washing machine cleaner tablets were even a thing. We have a top load Samsung washing machine. I haven't had any issues with a musty smell but the basin does get dirty. I usually wipe it down after doing a cleaning cycle. We have an Anatolian Shepherd who sheds like crazy so I also wipe it down after washing his stuff to get any excess hair out. I had just done a few loads earlier that day and the washer was telling me it was time for a self clean cycle so I went ahead and threw one of these tabs in there and turned it on. Wow. These really do what it says. The basin was sparkling clean. I took a paper towel and did a quick wipe and there was no leftover dirt or residue. I'm really impressed. Our clothes seem...I don't know....fresher, after doing this. I will be using these to clean the machine when it's due for a self clean cycle from now on.
