Excellent. I have used this for wooden railings and they look good after months of rain, As with the light version, much better than the stuff I have used previously; soaks into the wood rather than just staining it.

First class product excellent for my horse post and rail fencing

I've only just applied it last week, so I can't speak for its longevity, but so far so good.At first it seems reluctant to absorb into planed timber (fine on rough sawn), but after a short while it does soak in evenly. Be careful when using it - it is very liquid, so if the brush head is higher than the handle, it runs down onto the handle, your hands, and your arms. A box of disposable gloves and an old unwanted shirt are advisable.Although described as dark, it's not too dark. Dries to a nice mid-to-dark brown on pine.

Good coverage, Needed two coats when repainting old sleepers. One coat sufficient elsewhere. Good waterproofing evident. Nice dark brown colour. My dad used to smoke his pipe whilst applying creosote - I applied creocote wearing a mask, googles and gloves. Times have changed
