My husband needed this for work. He has to take pictures of gutters to see if they’re clogged etc.We needed to find the longest selfie stick that was legitimately sturdy. It has been working great for him.The price was reasonable. It’s easy to use. Compact closure so it doesn’t take up too much room with his other equipment.I’m honestly not sure if he uses the remote control for his purposes.

I bought this stick so I could photo the flat roof on my home to make sure there are no debris collected in the scuppers that cause water backups. It works well for that purpose. I can stand on the ground and snap photos of appropriate areas of the roof without having to haul out the ladder and climb up there every time I need to check (often as we have large pine trees that shed needles that block scuppers).Stick works well, was easy to sync to my phone, holds phone securely. My only complaint is it is a bit "wobbly" when fully extended and sometimes the twist to lock extensions doesn't hold.Otherwise, a good value.Grumpy

Always exactly what it says

The pole is of a decent quality, and it is easy to see why it has so many four and five star ratings, but I bought it for a single purpose, to check on my gutters. So I didn't want to spend a lot of time setting it up. The directions on the box, however, were pitiful. "Connect the bluetooth." How? The pictures on the Amazon website give some useful hints, and I'm fairly confident that eventually I'll figure it all out. But having to figure it out is not quite the same as having it explained. Rufus says most reviewers find it intuitive to use. Not for everyone. Figuring out how to attach my cell phone took me some time, and I still haven't figured out to to connect my phone to the bluetooth attachment. I'm working on it.

I purchased this product because I have to take pictures of roofs and it worked a couple of months and then broke. I purchased a second one and after a couple of months it broke as well. For the price, I would expect to get a lot more usage out of it.
