CHH Egyptian Chess Set

I bought this as a gift for my son who has several chess sets, but no themed sets. We were both very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this set.The base is heavy and solid feeling and beautifully detailed with raised hieroglyphics that impart a feeling that the base is actually an artifact of some kind. The board itself is made of some kind of pressed board that nicely finished and does not look likely to delaminate or discolor. The pieces are nicely crafted and detailed, with felt bottoms (the corners of the base have felt bottoms, too, to protect your table). The polystone material of the pieces has nice heft and feels almost like metal; they should stand up to casual play by adults and children who are careful (no tossing or knocking them around).The board lifts up to reveal storage area for the pieces that consists of a felt-lined plastic liner tray that is adequate for its task, though I usually keep the board set up and on display, as it looks so nice--Visitors have already made many positive comments.I don't think one would be disappointed with this set at all.

The media could not be loaded. What kind of a chess set is this? But my God, it is magnificent and huge. I also use it as a decoration on my table and I love the fine hand embroidery on it.

Gave as gift. Very decorative. We leave it out on table cuz its that nice.Price seemed a bit expensive until you see/hold it and realize its actually decent size.Quality costs. This isnt a knockoff, flimsy, disposable product.

I got this as a gift for my man for Christmas and he loves it! This is defiantly a statement piece! The only reason I took a star off is because the pieces are not very sturdy. The pieces were crafted very thin so my boyfriend has it sitting out but hasn’t played it yet because he is worried the pieces will brake. For the price I wish they would have made pieces thinker. And it’s not easy to store. If you buy this you want to have a place that you plan on displaying on..I was also disappointed that for the price the pieces didn’t come in a place to store them you have to keep them in the styrofoam that they came in and the lid doesn’t close all the way. I plan on buying a nice wooden box to keep them in the future but I wish someone would have told me that before hand. Other then those things the set is absolutely breath taken

This unique chess set was a gift for a friend and he absolutely loved it. Highly recommended for anyone who is chess fan with a twist of ancient Egyptian deity themed platform. Items came in well packaged and every piece brushed to perfection and solid as rock.

I had my heart set on this absolutely gorgeous set. However, the price point I expected MUCH MORE. First of all and most important, the table was completely WARPED! The set is in two pieces and the table doesn’t fit “ flush” down into the stand, so of course the pieces will lean. The “under table storage” for the game pieces is styrofoam! What! For the cost of this set, they gave me styrofoam🤦🏾‍♀️. The details are incredible I will not lie, but who wants a warped, won’t fit inside the slot, pieces sliding down, styrofoam 300.00 chess set? No me #ReturnAndRefund

I recently purchased the CHH Egyptian Chess Set, and while it's a unique and visually appealing design, it doesn't quite live up to my expectations in terms of quality. The Egyptian-themed pieces are detailed and interesting, but the craftsmanship feels a bit lacking in certain areas. Some of the pieces are lighter than I anticipated, which makes them feel less sturdy.The board itself is fine, but the squares are not as well-defined as I would have liked. Additionally, the overall finish on some of the pieces could be improved, as there were a couple with minor imperfections. It's definitely a cool collector's item, but as a functional chess set, it's a bit underwhelming.Overall, it's a nice display piece, but if you're looking for a high-quality chess set for regular use, this might not be the best choice. It’s still an interesting addition to my collection, but I think there are better options out there for serious players.

I bought this set for my boyfriend for Christmas. I was so excited to give it to him! Well lets just say that we have two children in the family, and while opening up gifts on Christmas morning, we had to stop so he could set up his new chess set! He was very happy with the gift. Now we already have a very expensive chess piece, so we are not using the pieces that came with the set, but we love that they can be stored right inside the set. We have an Egyptian themed living room, and he is obsessed with all thing Egyptian so we are very pleased to display the set all year round.
