Review: Horrifylingly accurate - I've grown up experiencing demonic activity as well as experiencing messages from people who have crossed over. As an adult these films are the only movies I have ever seen which not only captures the genuine horror of having things happen that you cannot explain/see but also what it's like 'crossing' over. The darkness,the random people with their stories.. It makes me mad when people dismiss movies as 'not scary enough.' The filmmaker is impressive and has clearly done research in his films and brought/captured the horror you feel in these situations to the screen. It's a masterpiece . Anyone wanting to know what it's like to deal with the other side , this is it. I bought a copy ages ago but sold it on as I thought it too scary and it catapulted the activity .However , I've bought it again as people want to know what it's like and now I can show them. The demon however looks a little too much like Darth maul but sadly it does resemble what is out there. Superb movie. For people who are interested in this I highly recommend books by two police persons and their real battle with the other side. New York policeman book " Deliver us from evil " and a UK policewoman dealings with a demon and supernatural " Paranormal intruder." The first was made into a movie (done badly) and so I'm recommending these books. Insidious 3 is due out soon...I'm unsure if I can watch it but honestly ,the cast is superb and the stories are chilling. Review: Fantastic movies but do not watch Insidious 2 before the first - I will begin with a warning to begin with, insidious ends just like a TV show does with a cliffhanger ending that leaves you wanting the next instalment. Insidious 2 continues exactly where the first movie ends and taps into a lot, if not all, of what happens in the first movie and it will not only spoil the first one for you but will leave you scratching your head wondering what is happening or why it is happening at times. You can watch the Insidious 3 as that is a prequel and will not spoil the first two. The movies themselves have extremely good character development and a plot that is explained rather well, some of the first movies plot is explained brilliantly in the sequel, and the boxset of the first 2, or even 3 if you prefer, movies is a must to get the most out of the franchise. There are a few jumpscares, as you would expect from a horror movie, and a very open ended first movie that would have left me feeling a little let down at only seeing half a movie if I saw it in a cinema. I had waited a long time to see the second one on tv, and then I looked on Amazon and there it was. Brilliant. The second one is even more SCARY that the first, but I noticed on the second film there seems to be a little bit of a picture breakup but it affects the film not one iota.
