The colour is as described, pleasant light brown. Used for a garden fence and shed. Good coverage and expecting good durability. This stuff is simply brilliant and in my view, it is the best treatment you can buy for your fence or shed. It is as close to the good old fashioned (but now illegal) Creosote as you can get. It is perfect for application by using a garden sprayer and does not cause the sprayer nozzle to clog or splutter at all. I have just treated approximately 60 metres of fencing and a large wooden shed with 2 coats each and it is very easy to apply with either the sprayer or a brush. It completely waterproofs the wood and it is satisfying to watch the rainwater 'bead' on the timber afterwards. I would highly recommend this product.

This was recommended by a friend and it does exactly as it says. Placed an order for the light brown, made the fence look great but needed more. Ordered second batch but when we started using it although it said light brown on the container it was actually dark brown!!!!! We now have a two tone fence which looks quite nice and at least the timber has preservative on it.

Been using this for years now after a joiner did my gates outside and advised against other wood treatment products which flake and dont really protect as described on the tubs. Creocote is fast and simple to apply, it really soaks into the wood and the strong smell is gone within a few days. I actually dont mind the smell to be honest but some may. This 4 pack is really good value too

Really impressed by this, in the image you can see the Dark Brown on the sleeper, the light brown on the fence and an untreated fence. The product goes on lovely with a fence or paintbrush dries quickly and gives a really good quality look on completion. My neighbours have been quite impressed although it can soak through knots to the other side of the fence - so worth knowing. Also can drip and stain flags with an oily residue so make sure you protect your working environment.A final note to say that so many of our neighbours were going for the full-colour fence paints that seem fashionable at the moment - we didn't want that look and this really brings out the natural wood and looks great. Couldn't be happier.

I use this stuff rather than the usual water based products. In my previous house my fence was still ok after 45 years. The fence would have long since rotted using the water based treatments
