We were already in the process of setting up a pool. I had planed to use plastic when I found a website talking why not to use plastic. My next thought was to use weed blocker. No one wants to tear a pool down after days of prep and setting up. You want to do it right the first time. I ordered this reluctantly. When it came in I was surprised how think and strong this stuff is. I would highly recommend it. It has kept my sand from washing away. If works as advertised I will never have to worry about grass growing through it. I built a 4 x 4 frame around my pool to help hold the sand in. It stretches from one end of that to the other. I wish I had gotten it wider to stretch across the width. I have 2 feet on either side of the pool. It is easy to see how this holds the sand in place compared to what is not covered. I would recommend getting bigger than what you need.

By far one of the BEST purchases I have made for my above ground pool. For the past 3 years we have tried half a dozen covers all of which are impossible to keep on the pool and the blue bubble solar covers break down in less than a season leaving little blue plastic circles throughout the pool…. Not this cover! This cover fits perfectly and has enough give to cover the inlet setup. It is well packaged and comes with cord and ground stakes for added security though I do not need them unless we are experiencing high winds. The fact that the cover comes so far down the outside of the pool, combined with the draw string, adjustable straps, and strap down loop holes I have had zero issues.I have mixed feelings about not having drain holes because it rains a lot where I live but the weight of the water on the top did not cause the cover to sink into the pool. Instead the water weight displaced water in the pool and I was able to easily drain it off using a simple siphon technique with a hose. The pool water I lost was still less than what I lose from evaporation. I am planning to buy a backup in case something happens to this one.

Normally, I would just set the pool on the cement. But this is a great product.This product was like very heavy felt, and I am sure that with a little TLC, it will last for years. It kind of stuck to the cement area I was covering, so I had to do some stretching and move the edges up and down to get some air under it as I positioned it. Very easy for one person but my wife helped me.I have a 12' round pool and I have 2"-4" of this showing around the whole pool. The posts are all sitting on the liner as well.Two very good things it provided.1) It will keep any little grains of sand or rock from loosening and causing a hole.2) It gave me a totally clean area to lay out the pool.I will definitely use it every year and feel much more comfortable about no holed in the bottom of the pool.Thanks for providing a great product.

I wanted this to prevent micro punctures I experienced with my last liner. I expect it will do well. However, I think this should be used on a new install, before the walls go up, as I was unable to get the pool liner and floor liner smooth.

This pool cover is very high quality -- such an upgrade from the one that came with the pool. It is easier to put in and take off and is much more secure. It was an upgrade that was definitely worth the extra money!

Great quality, value and the perfect size for a 24x12 with room to spear all around. The description said to get it bigger than the measurement of the pool, but it wasn’t necessary. Do not buy the next size up and custom fit it, it won’t be necessary at least for this specification. I was nervous, but it was all for nothing.

We bought the 27' round pad for our above ground pool. The pad is okay. Compared to the gorilla pad it is thin. Also to our dismay it has 2 large seams that are very obvious underfoot and visually- dirt collects on them. In hindsight we should have spent the extra money on the go to pad. I am concerned for the longevity underfoot, but its too late to change now.
