The Tropic 507 Ventair has a modern, sleek cap shape with curved side panels to create an ergonomic fit. Add the iconic Ventair pattern around the crown. As a man with not-much-hair I wear a hat much of the time, but this can be challenging in summertime heat. The goal was to find something that didn't make high-humidity sweating *worse* and also hopefully dealt with the sweat that would be happening anyway. In extreme heat & high humidity (aka low evap rate) this hat worked like a champ. There's actually a structural piece in the brim (which gives it that front "roll") that absorbs sweat that overwhelms the sweatband. It works startlingly well. That's with walking around and hot food / alcohol consumption contributing to sweatiness past a normal rate. Didn't hurt that somebody recognized the type of hat and complimented it on my 2nd time wearing it out. It's distinctive looking. First time packing it, it looks completely fine after being smushed for a few hours. This might become my only brand for flat caps- Highly Recommended.

Love Hat, Sizing Not So Much
I love the 507 Ventair. It is a very nice looking and comfortable hat for the most part. I had a Kangol 504 ventair and decided to get a 507, also. I had initially ordered a XL 504 and found it to be just a smidge too large, but still wearable. A few months later I decided to get a large just to see if it would fit a little better. Well, it fit, but could have been just a little larger. I can wear either but it makes me wish hats still came in actual sizes instead of generic ones. The 507 L fits the same as the 504 does so at least the sizing seems to be consistent. My head is apparently an odd size between large and extra large so I’ll deal with it. I still love the hats.
