Exactly what I expected. I bought another costume mask+overall but the mask in that package was a soft plastic (silicone?). This is a hard mask, not super-super thick but strong enough.

Best one you'll find on Amazon!
It's a quality mask but definitely fragile. Put in the wrong place, I think it could easily break. Kinda wish it shipped in better packaging, but it arrived fine so I'm fine. All that said it's the best looking one I've seen on Amazon!
