Togo Power 120W Solar Panel – St. Louis Mo in MAY.To Start with this is a repackaged BALDR 120W Solar Panel. BALDR is a brand of Togo Power. I have both the Togo Power and 2 BALDR branded versions of the 120W solar panels and am testing them together. You will see from the picture that the outer box just had a sticker on it covering the BALDR with TOGO Power. The manuals were also exactly the same except for the front and Back where BALDR was replaced with TOGO Power. They missed some Copywrites and Q/A in the Togo version where it still states BALDR. The unit itself was TogoPower branded and not just covered up like the box. 1 Of the BALDR and the TOGO look identical while the first one BALDR 120W I bought had a different patter to the panels.The Form. It is light weight and in 4 folded sections. The folded size is approximately 20.5” x 14” x 2”. The 2 inches includes the pouch on the one side and the control device inside it. Laid out it is 63” long. Its weight is about 9lbs. The 4 folds cause a small issue as there are only two stands on the back. It would be nice if the 2 outer sections had a stand and then one near the middle. This causes little problem though so it is not really an issue.What you get. The Togo Power 120W Solar Panel. A connecting cable that connects the standard connector used by TOGO that connects the panel to many different battery makers battery.My first test was just to see how it would charge a Cell phone. The weather was clear but there was a slight haze. I plugged it into the USB C port and started charging. The phone started at 18%. I also started one on the BALDR branded panel which was at 44%. These were identical phones which had 5000ma batteries. At 1 hour the One on the Togo Power was at 54% and the one on the BALDR was at 74%. At 2 hours the one on Togo was at 90% and the BALDR 99% and was at 100% at 2hours 5 mins. The Togo power finished at 2h 25m. This really is not very different from the phones wall adapter. They only charge at 15w so the output of the panel exceeds the wall plug.My 2nd test I hooked each of the solar panels up to my TOGO 1000 and BALDR 500 Batteries. Both Panels showed very similar results. They both showed they were producing from 57-62 Watts of power which would fluctuate. This is at 3:45 PM sun in Missouri with the panels moved to have the best angle to the sun. This is half of the stated 120Watts the panels should produce in optimal conditions. The 463Wh BALDR said it would take 6-7 hours to charge and the 933Wh Togo said 14.5 hours. The later is basically more than a day to charge by a single Solar Panel. During the winter you might have 8 good hours. I did not charge them at this time as it was late in the day.The AC Power cord shows it will take 5.6 hours to charge the 933Wh Togo battery pulling 147W. The BALDR 463Wh battery shows 4 Hours pulling 100W.My next test started at 10:30AM in pure sunlight. I plugged the Togo 120W solar panel into my BALDR 500 which was at 25%. It registered 75-80 Watts. A see-through white cloud passed over and it dropped to 55-60 but when the cloud passed by it went back up. When I checked it at 1 ½ hours it was only registering 40W and was at 45%. I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in at it was back up to 80W. Good sun persisted and it generated about 80W of power. Towards the end heavy clouds came up and the power generation dropped to 15W. The setup to charge the panel was able to completely shade the battery during testing. It is a good idea to keep the battery cool.My final test is 2 panels in parallel. The Togo 120W and BALDR 120W. They will be charging the Togo 1000. It is starting at 20%. The first day it was cloudy and the combined solar panels created 34W of power. The unit got up to 30% and I shut it down as it looked like rain and was not really what I was testing. The next day was bright and sunny. At 8:20 AM the combined pair was generating 110W of power fluctuating a lot. It became steady within the next hour as the sun got more overhead. 110W seemed low from previous tests. I swapped to just one and the Togo power registered 80W and then the BALDR version 60W in the same Sun. This is not what I saw a few days ago. Together they show 110W. It took 5.5 hours to fully charge.What I have learned since owning these is that positioning the panels at the proper angle to the sun will gain you about 10 watts of power possibly more as the sun moves. If your battery is charging all day then you would want to move the panels every 2 hours at a minimum.I have never compared other brands to see if 80w Generation out of a 120W panel is good or bad. It only produced 60w in slightly hazy conditions and dropped to 15w when the clouds completely covered the sun. Is that normal I cannot really say.The TOGO Power Company. On my first purchase of the BALDR 500/Solar Panel 120W, I had an issue with the battery shutting off while under AC Load. I contacted Togo Support and they responded very quickly. They immediately had a solution that required sending it back for a firmware upgrade. They took care of my issue very quickly and professionally. I would rate their support 5 Stars. You never know how good or bad a company is until you have a problem with a product. I was pleased with the service I received.A Final thought in mind both with the Panels and Batteries. If size and weight are not an issue always buy better specs than you think you need. You never know when because of clouds you will lose a full day of charging or that charging ability will be reduced. Panels never produce what they state they will. What is stated is ideal test conditions not real-world use. Larger Batteries can also cover you for days of lost or low generation.

I like the panel, it feels well built and came with a few adaptors . Not as nice as my Bluetti PV200 but close. The native plug is 8mm with adaptors for Anderson, xt60, and a couple variations of 5mm. The kind of inputs you see in smaller to medium size Power Stations, so very appropriate for the wattage and voltage. It also has a USB-C and USB A output ports in the control box on the back side of the panel. The USB-C is fast, was getting 1% per minute on iphone 11. Quad fold design makes it more packable if that's important. 2 kick stands that are not adjustable but do help in getting a better angle. No issue with 2 vs 4 legs.I've used this without issue on my Oupes 1200 and Oukitel CN505. I can't seem to get more that mid 80's watts of output out of it. This is on clear days in Virginia July sun. I even did the soup can test to check for shadows to make sure the angles was optimized. This test was on the Oupes because the CN505 maxes out in the mid 80's of input. In cloudy conditions it drops to the 10-30 watts. I am knocking off a star because this should really be rated at 100 watts and not 120. Considering it's similarly priced to other 100 watt panels it's still a good purchase if you get it on sale. Got mine for $185 with no buyers remorse.If i were to do it over again, I probably would have bought the xtar 100 which was sold out during prime day sales. The xtar is $40 more expensive and a bifold, so not as portable

The media could not be loaded.  These work, but I think two of the panels are faulty and not functioning. I would go with another brand. Because it’s sewn together I can’t really go in and try and fix it without messing up the foldability of the panels.UPDATED: This panel works as advertised. The seller has since updated their product description to show that I have a battery that can only accept half the wattage produced by these panels. This product is great and i will purchase more items from them in the future.
