I’ve been carrying this as my everyday knife, and it’s quickly become my go-to. How much can you really say about an EDC? Well, this one just nails it. The action is smooth, locks up solid, and drops shut clean. The blade takes an edge easy and holds it, and the handle feels great in hand—comfortable, grippy, and not too bulky in the pocket.My biggest complaint has been that they've become so popular that availability can sometimes be an issue.

Just received/opened this 15 min ago. I am astonished with the build quality and action of this knife. Very very nice and smooth. The Chinese knife market is getting very good. I know a vast majority of the USA made knives steel is manufactured there. Crucible going down more and more will be a Chinese product...😢 This particular knife has the 14C28N mid grade steel in it. IMO it's an upgrade from D2 or AEB-L. I am a spyderco aholic. So, when this gets put in my hand, its impressive. Will report back once I sharpen this the first time...14C is easy to sharpen..With no disrespect given to builder, this is an excellent budget knife IMO...possibly as good as the butterfly brand...and I'm just learning about knives as of late.

The Vosteed Raccoon replaced my $300 EDC! Not just because it's new. I've gotten a dozen new knives that are nice but the Racoon actually replaced a knife that cost 4 times as much. I like 14C28N and Vosteed's heat treatment is great. The blade came centered and sharp (a few minutes of stropping made it scary sharp). Lightweight (3oz.), grippy micarta scales, the backliner lock (button lock), ball bearings and perfect detent make this the most fidget friendly knife I have (over 100). Vosteed quality is visually obvious (fit and finish), but when you use the knife, you'll FEEL the quality.

The media could not be loaded. I’m honestly not sure where to start. First, I’ll start by mentioning that I bought this knife, and was not asked to write a review for it. I’ve been using this knife as my EDC over the past two weeks, it has quickly become my favorite knife to carry! It is extremely sharp, opens and closes seamlessly and has the perfect textured micarta handles. This is a game changer! My favorite part of the knife is definitely the top liner lock. It’s so easy to use, and is MUCH stronger than your typical button lock. I work a blue collar job that requires a blue collar knife, the Vosteed raccoon gets the job done!

I love Vosteed knives in general. But I really like the Top Liner lock Raccoon. Very sharp 14c28n blade. The detent on on the lock is strong. Very versatile and lightweight. It has a reversible pocket clip and an insert plug when you change the clip to keep the handle looking clean. Overall an excellent knife.

All around this knife was nice, opens well, locks well (more on that in a minute) blade is sharp. Overall weight and handle feels good, micarta is grippy.My only complaint is the hole for the button lock is wayyyy too big. It looks sloppy IMO.The button lock itself interesting. Its actually a button actuated liner lock. The button doesn't interface with the blade itself, only an internal liner the button is fixed too. It functions fine but also not a true button lock.

Such a beautiful knife. Very smooth action and perfectly fits the hand. The top liner lock is one of the best on the market.
