I've tried a regular gel-pad (no honeycomb) and after an hour or too it became uncomfortable. Tried an air pad inflatable cushion and it was better but it was squishy and it shifted too much making it seem like I wasn't connected to the bike. However this seat with the honeycomb construction is very comfortable on long rides and keeps you stuck in the saddle without all the shifting around. It's non slip and easy to attach. One slight mod I made is that I replaced the rear elastic tie down strap with non elastic straps for an even more secure attachment.

Its a decent fit for my seat. (Honda Shadow) and it gives me a very slight boost cause im tall. But as for reducing pressure on my back it does very little. It makes me a bit more comfortable but it could be better. Still worth it for the price especially if youre just wanting a slightly higher seat for cheap.

I was skeptical at first but I read the reviews and decided to give the cushion a try. I installed this on my 2007 Goldwing seat and I was so happy with the fit. I went for a long ride on the interstate and oh my word I was so impressed. My already comfy bike just got even better. You won't go wrong.

I bought this for a 7-day, 4500 mile motorcycle rally on a R1200GS. Started the first 500 miles without it, then installed it for the remaining 400 miles on the first day. Installation was a breeze, fit was perfect, and It definitely provided instant relief and a change in seating comfort. I left it on for the next two 600 mile days and although it provided a nice cushion, it started to cause chafing in my inner thighs. I then removed it for the remaining 4 days, which also ranges from 500-800 miles, and the chafing disappeared.I will be keeping the product since it folds small in my pannier box, fits the seat perfectly, and provides a nice change of seating comfort for longer rides. But I will definitely be using it sparingly for temporary relief, and not use it continuously due to the chafing issue I'm experiencing.
