I have used the expensive metal strap locks for year and think they're great. However, I did have one break on me, so I thought I'd try an alternative. These little rubber gaskets work very well. The instrument is secure; the whole point this exercise. It is a 2-step process to remove the strap block and then the strap, but no big deal when you're only paying a few bucks for the item. The little pull tabs make the removal process much easier. Recommended.

Simplest way to lock your strap securely
What can I say....my mechanical 'straplock' failed during a gig....ughh! So, I decided to try these. They are simple and keep the strap secure. It's a no brainer. I like that it has a little tab on it that you can grab to ease installation or removal.
