This teapot holds just over a quart of tea (34 oz.) and is handcrafted of borosilicate glass which is known for its strength. It is a gorgeous shape. Very elegant, as are the beautiful blooming tea balls, also made individually by hand. It is quite the show for any guest who has not yet seen one of these bloom in front of their very eyes. I don't tire of seeing them either despite seeing my first one about 15 years ago. I liked this specific model because it is footed and of the shape of the knob on the lid. This one seemed very elegant to me. I very much recommend one of these teapots from Teabloom. They are also extremely well packed to guarantee safe arrival. It would make a wonderful gift to yourself or to any other special person.

I love this teapot! It's lightweight and comfortable to hold, and the design is elegant and beautiful but still sturdy and practical (I don't like pretty at the expense of usability.) It came packaged very securely - so securely I had some trouble getting it out of the box - and is very easy to fill, pour, boil, and clean.The tea blooms themselves were fascinating to watch; I've never used one before, but I've heard about them, so getting to try one myself was a fun experience. The flavor wasn't my favorite, but I'm a tea newbie so I'm still pretty "vanilla" in terms of my flavor preferences. More experienced tea-drinkers will probably enjoy the floral taste, but even if you don't, it'll brew up your favorite teas just fine too. I love being able to see it through the clear glass; besides being pretty, it also helps me to gauge how strong the tea is more easily than I can with an opaque pot.Overall, I recommend this for anyone, but especially newer tea brewers like me who are looking for a nice pretty teapot to add to their collection.

My mother has always been intrigued by the blooming teas, which are only interesting if you can see them bloom, so I got her this for her birthday. It is packaged *really* well, lots of foam cut to hold the teapot very securely. It was a lot lighter than I was expecting, and we were a little concerned that it would hold up to pouring boiling water into it, but it was fine. The teapot comes with two blooming teas, which as far as I could tell were the same flavor, they just opened in two different styles. At first we didn't think it was going to work - the tea ball floated to the top - but after a few minutes it sank and opened up perfectly. I personally didn't care for the tea because I'm not a fan of jasmine, but my mother enjoyed it. They say you can reuse the tea for several pots, but unless you're making them one after the other, I'm not sure about that. We let the tea dry overnight, and it was still kind of wet in the middle of the base. At some point if it doesn't dry, there may be a problem. Overall, its a perfect pot for these types of blooming teas, and is perfectly usable for regular loose-leaf tea as well.
