I have some Parmak fence chargers on my ranch that have been operating trouble free for years. naturally, I went to this brand when I needed a another charger. Something has changed in the design. The first one that I ordered shut down every 12 - 24 hours for no reason. When I re-plugged it in it would restart for another short time; great but when its off, the livestock know it. I tested my fence system, including substituting a working older unit. Everything with the fence and ground is fine so I figured that I had that rare defective unit. I exchanged it for the same unit. To my disappointment, the new unit failed in the exact same way. Both times, I called the manufacturer tech support. They told me to return it as it shuts down when something is wrong or unsafe with it. More disappointment was that they were not only not-so-nice, but they informed me that if I wanted to resolve this under warranty, I needed to ship it to them at my cost (defective out of the box) for repair. So much for being a loyal customer for decades.

works fine just what i wanted thanks like this model because when you touch the fence with your body it shocks you with the low volts but if you keep touching the fence it hits u with the full power think this is to burn any weeds touching the hot wire

Had a previous model that is no longer available. This one is worthless. One blade of grass or a chive stem grounds this out and shuts it down rendering it useless. Probably too late to return as I had it a month before installing and finding out that it will not burn thru a blade of grass and not ground out. Don't waste your money.

I bought this electric box to keep in pigmy goats. Amazon, said it had a few places on it and I was hesitant about buying. When we received the Parmak Fieldmaster it was perfect no places (scratch or dent) on it and works perfect.

Looked well made. Had a similar one from same manufacturer for 10 years. Unit did not work so I returned it. No problem refunding money because they didnt have another one in stock. Bought a different one from same seller

Works like a champ! Very happy to find it, it took a little longer of a wait than expected, but very good product. Throwing 5,000 watts working great!

Great while it worked. thought a fuse had blown, so such luck, just stopped working out of the clear blue sky. They say its protected from lightning strickes, well, something went wrong, have no idea. Kept in a sealed battery box and NOT exposed to weather. Will not buy again, these should last for years and years!

I used to have the mark 7 and after much shopping i decided I would go with this one as my fence is ''small'' and I did not need the digital reading.It's easy to set up (like everything else parmak) and very affortable to buy and run.I have a permanent 3 strand shockline electric wire fencing (Single Strand wire with a coating 12 1/2" guage high tensile wire encased in a polymer coating. Gives the horses more visibility so they can see the fencing.) outside fence around a 5 acre pasture.Inside this set up I have multiple smaller electric rope fences to rotate and separate areas.And some very testy horses.Never had a problem with it and very happy with it!
