GeeekPi Starter Kit for Raspberry Pi 5 8GB, with N04 M.2 NVMe SSD PCIe Peripheral Board, Metal Case, Official Active Cooler, 64GB SD Card, HDMI Cable And 27W USB C 5V 5A Power Supply

Bought it for my home Kubernetes lab. The case is ventilated really well, and the fan doesn't work too often. But when it works, it works pretty quietly, even at night. However, I feel like 8G RAM is a bit low now.

Ok , so good device and kit, except for my experience with the PSU. The end of the USB C cable that plus into the Pi always had an intermittent fault, cutting out on the slightest wobble, from the start. I understand that these thing can be weak, but it was treated gently. Because of poor ( no response) from support at Geekpi.com . In the meantime I have bought an official Raspberry Pi PSU and that is great. I know i could have returned the whole thing etc. , and Amazon were great but Hey I am good now , a few pounds down maybe. I will update this if i ever get a reply from GeekPi

Bought this as a gift for my techy partner who has spent hours and hours playing with it. A reasonable price for what you get, the raspberry pie, the case and power, the memory and extra slots. We use ours as a supplimentary media server but there are almost limitless uses for it. There are plenty of tutorials online for people who want to do different things for it, but it is very much a techy product and you do need to have some semblance of computers and hardware to understand. It is an entry level product and a nice bundle, especially as a gift.

Unfortunately, it stopped working in a week of usage. This is probably not the seller's fault but still disappointing. After deep testing it looks like my unit had faulty RAM. Other than this the pack is fantastic. Charger, SD card, Nvme HAT all good no reason to complain. The return process was relatively painless. I am thinking about ordering the same pack again.

The other reviews state there are no/limited instructions in the box, which is true but, they have posted a video of someone building one which for me is much better. The kit itself has everything you need apart from an SSD which once installed makes the Raspberry PI actually usable. I have had PI 4s in the past and this is a massive step up. The metal case is a bit industrial for me but, it works really well so I can't complain. The SD card they supply is empty so expect to have to flash it with the Raspberry imager to get going, the has a USB 2.0 card reader to help but I had my own so didn't need it. One thing I do like is the fact they give you 2 ribbon cables, for some reason I failed to get the first one I tried working. It is very fiddly to fit which I think the Raspberry PI manufacturer should look at and it not the whole kits fault. Still 5 stars for me as I knew that would be difficult before I purchased it.

I dont know don't remember if this is just the starter or it comes with raspberry pi5 but do I need to say anything. Its raspberry PI and whatever cones with its its always goid quality the end of it :)

Easy enough to assemble just from watching the video for this item. The screws used throughout are very small and fiddly for my fat fingers. All credit to the manufacturers of the very solid metal case. I had the assembled Pi on the floor and accidentally placed a heavy chair on top of it and sat on it. Not a scratch.

Rapide stable et ne chauffe pas un must

Det märks att GeeekPi har lagt ner tid på att göra installationen smidig, även för de som inte är supervana vid hårdvara. En bra detalj är att kitet levereras med ett SanDisk Ultra 64GB Micro SD-kort, vilket är toppen för den som vill komma igång direkt. Jag använde det dock aldrig, eftersom jag istället valde att köpa till en Crucial P3 Plus 500GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD – och det valet ångrar jag inte. SSD:n fungerade felfritt tillsammans med kitet och ger både högre prestanda och gott om utrymme. Kort sagt: Ett prisvärt och välpaketerat startkit för dig som vill komma igång snabbt med Raspberry Pi 5. Rekommenderas varmt!

le raspberry pi et le boitier sont top par contre savez si le lecteur de ssd est compatible avec cette référence ? WD BLACK_BLACK SSD SN850X NVMe SSD interne de 4 To (stockage de jeu, technologie PCIe Gen4, lecture 7 300 Mo/s, écriture 6 600 Mo/s), noir. Je ne sais pas si c'est moi qui ai mal assemblé mais pas moyen de reconnaitre le disque ni même l'adaptateur.
