How often should one use in transmission like months or years?

How often you would add it to your transmission would depend upon what was wrong with the transmission and to what extent it is damaged . your best bet is to follow the directions on the bottle. This product is great, It smoothes out rough shifting, it is a pleasant surprise that a product of this type works at all, and then for it to work so well its amazing.

It this compatible with type F fluid?

Compatible with any transmission fluid type, and best product I've ever used in 20 years of loyalty for Lucas products

Can you use this in a cvt transmission?

Yes. I use it in my fiancés 2010 Jeep Compass which has a CVT

Is the fluid very thick and clings to the funnel?

I did for me. If I did it again I would warm the bottle up so it would be thinner and easier to pour
