Keeps batteries charged
I wanted a Ring camera to monitor a side of the house but didn't have any good wired power source. Decided to go with a Ring spotlight battery camera and mount it high up in a tree (15ft up) for a better vantage point and for security of the camera itself. Found that after a few days of having it mounted on the tree facing the house, the battery was down to about ~80%. Got a second battery, but didn't relish the idea of having to go up and down a ladder every few weeks to charge the batteries, so decided to try this aftermarket solar panel. The solar panel keeps both ring spotlight batteries at 100%. Even with heavy traffic, linked recording, HDR, etc, one battery has not dropped past 90% throughout the day and other battery isn't even used and remains at 100% constantly. At dusk after the afternoon sun has shone on that side of tree where I have the solar panel mounted, both batteries are back up to 100%.The solar panel is now positioned in direct sunlight, but even when I had it originally in indirect sun it seemed to still charge the batteries although not enough to keep both batteries at 100%.The cable is 4 meters/13.1 ft long. I didn't initially know how far away I would need to position the solar panel from the camera, turned out only needed a foot and a half, so just simply ziptied the bundle and hid it behind the panel. Used a staple gun to make sure the cable stayed flat against the tree.Hoping this solar panel remains reliable, but so far very happy with this purchase.***UPDATE***Should have foreseen this, but a few months after installing this in a tree, I noticed that the solar panel was no longer charging the batteries in the Ring spotlight. Went up the tree to investigate and found the wire to the back of the panel had been chewed through, probably by a squirrel.Took the panel down, soldered the connections back together, and put thick shrink wrap over the solder joint. Encased the wire in 1/2" plastic loom wrap that you can pick up in any automotive section. Has been back up for a few months since the repair and so far the squirrels have left it alone and panel is back to charging batteries.***UPDATE: 7/16/2020***Just checked and both batteries in the Ring camera are at 100%. Clearing some of the branches out of the way earlier in the spring time and slightly repositioning the panel to get more direct sunlight has significantly helped. Inspected the wires, and the plastic wire loom has so far protected them from squirrels.

A Labor Saver for My Ring Spotlight Camera!
Easy to install and connect. Similar in looks and function to the original Ring solar panel. Comes with hardware and easy to follow instructions. Lots of cord length for ease of location. I was able to install it reasonably close to my camera. So far, works well. I installed two batteries in my Ring Spotlight camera...one was at 100% and the other at 90%, when I connected the panel. After 4 days, both batteries were fully charged, and there has been no reduction in battery charge since, even with the cloudy days in the Pacific Northwest. I recommend it.

Solar panel for Ring Spotlight Camera
Purchased this as we found that the batteries for the Ring Camera can run down quickly when they find alot of traffic. We have installed 3 different camera's around our house so we decided to buy 2 of the Wasserstein solar panels and try them out. Due to the large overhangs on our house we had to install the first on the the roof and it was fairly easy to install. The Camera only had a single battery at the time and it was down to 81%. Although it was a dull grey day with a limited amount of sun by the end of the day, the battery was again fully charged with the solar panel. We still have one more to install but that will have to wit for a nicer day. I expect that we will make an additional purchase for the last camera.

Great! Easy to install!
So, I ordered one of these and i let it go for about 4 days and realized that it wasn't charging my camera, but it was actually still draining incredibly fast. The icon was saying that it was connected via solar, but it never showed the icon for the battery charging with the sun.I contacted the seller, explained the issues and they sent me a new panel immediately! They were so gracious and understanding. And the second panel works. And it works GREAT! I love not having to take the battery out to charge it! I'm now looking to find one to connect to my doorbell camera! At night the charge does go down, but thats normal as there's no sun. Then in the daylight it charges back up. On cloudy days it doesn't charge it great, but my sensitivities for motion are set on frequent and the most sensitive. I'm sure if I changed those settings then it wouldn't drop so much charge on cloudy days. But that's okay. This is a great investment for sure! Especially because I'm so short and it gets tiring having to get a step ladder out each time I want to charge the battery! This solar panel has made life a bit more easy!Make sure the panel is facing upwards though! And make sure its south facing as well. The reason for that is because if it is facing south, and upwards as in my photo, it will get the full day's sun!

You need this product if you have rechargeable batteries installed.
I used this solar panel for my Ring Spotlight battery Cameras. Regardless of some, less than favourable reviews I decided that I needed to give one a try, this particular product is £20 (at least) lower than the Ring solar panel! Because of where I live (a busy road) the batteries were lasting about 2 weeks!I didn’t want to drill holes in the walls but, with hindsight, I should have bought the wired cameras. As soon as the solar panel was set up, I saw an immediate improvement. I promptly ordered a second solar panel for the second camera, both where delivered the following day. Four batteries that are under constant use are fully charged. I would definitely recommend this product.

Seems to be working very well with ring Outdoor Alarm Siren
After seeing the comments I decided to try one of these with a ring Outdoor Alarm Siren……ring had run out of there’s for months. As I live in far north Buckinghamshire I didn’t expect it be good enough to keep a ring battery pack charged. Using the 90 minutes before dusk till 90 minutes after dawn illumination option it seemed to be half depleted within about two weeks. While testing the solar panel it was position inside the house pointing west through a doubled glazed widow. To my amazement, during just one rather cloudy afternoon, the siren events started to report ‘charging’ and well before the sun, well bright cloud, went down it reported being ‘fully charged’. This has repeated over the last week with very little sunshine - with the battery always being reported as ‘charging’ or ‘fully charged’.I’ll update this review with any changes, but looks like just an hour or two of not even bright cloud should be enough. The icon LEDs of the siren being used while dark is obviously not as power draining as a ring camera connected via WiFi, but still impressed me…When it stops raining every day it will be positioned quite high up and facing south, so should get more daylight/sunshine even in the depths of winter. Time will tell…

Great item for less money
This is not a genuine ring panel I have 2 of them already but to be fair, you can’t tell the difference. They all work and charge up the solar cam. When I installed it the batt was 70%, it’s now up to 99% and pretty much stays that way.The only small criticism is that they give you the drill bit when you buy the ring panel they don’t with this one but if you have any ring products just use the drill bit that came with them

Works well keeps the batteries fully charged so far
I was very sceptical about wether or not this item would be able to cope with the amount of charging needed as my camera is activated several times a day. The camera has two batteries installed and so far the one is at 100% and the other fluctuates between 97% and 100% so it’s holding up well and doing the job. No idea how it will do in the winter months we shall see. But so far very happy it’s done the job well and I haven’t had to worry about the batteries at all so far.

Working as advertised, and cheaper than the official one!
What can you say about the solar panel, apart from the fact it catches the sun and charges the battery! Mounted it on the wall and plugged into the Spotlight Camera. Screws were included to fix the cable in place to the camera so it does not move or potentially come off unless the screws are undone. Two batteries have been at 100% for a few weeks now. The recent heatwave made it very easy to charge them and keep at 100%, but two batteries will ensure that even on days where there is little to no sun, the solar panel would maybe breakeven on charge:usage ratio and not deplete the battery.
