This is for keystone jacks only. If you are installing plug ends, you would need an RJ45 type crimping tool.

I do not believe so. As far as I can tell, the hubbel hj6a don't have a metal case covering the back end. This tool is specifically built for the cable matters 6a shielded metal keystone jacks.

You don’t necessarily need it just makes it easier

perhaps because it's made of plastic, it struggles with thicker fully shielded twisted pair cat6a and doesn't crimp, causing people to think it's m..?
