I used this with my Ultra-arm with my 57" super wide screen. Works great. I first did the setup without this extra plate and decided to add the plate for the extra rigidity of the total setup. I thought about returning it and getting along without it but after actually using it, I'm glad I did. And my work surface is a pretty solid 1.125 think.

Great for my glass desk no issues.

I love how simple this product is but I think its a little overpriced it's probably worth it if it was less than $10. The reinforcement place is useful and gives added stability for my wooden desk that's less than an inch thick carrying a 45" OLED Monitor, so far it works but didn't really get to use the bottom plate since I was on a C-Clamp.

Great protection

This was a great addition to the monitor arm holding a Samsung Odisey 57" monitor. I highly recommend it!

I like to test not only my limits, but the limits of my computer. For example, my current computer setup includes 4 monitors on a monitor arm. But there was a problem when I set this up. I have a glass topped desk, but the monitor arm mount was designed in such a way that I had to use a "filler" to mount it to the glass as it was too thin. I improvised, I used an old deck of playing cards. I WISH this ULTRARM Steel Monitor Mount Reinforcement Plate for Thin, Glass & Other Fragile Tabletop was available then, it would've saved me a WHOLE lot of trouble.I spent most of this morning disassembling my monitor/monitor arm setup to install this, but it was well worth the effort once everything was put back together. They are SO much more stable now, and it was super simple to install. Before attaching all the monitors again I tested it by simply grabbing the pole and seeing how much give it had. It had practically none, I was so extremely happy! The whole apparatus used to wobble when granddaughters would come bouncing in the room when they visited. Now, they wobble no more and I no longer fear that one day the whole back half of the desk would crack and break off sending hundreds of dollars worth of equipment crashing to the floor. I just wish I had this years ago!Would I order this again? In a heartbeat and without hesitation. After seeing the improvement it made I am 100% sold on this "reinforcement plate". Would I recommend this to others? Definitely! In fact, I already have!A+++++

I got this mounting plate to accommodate some of my other desk mounts that require thicker tabletops. It's also seemingly great for attaching to glass tabletops to protect them from damage. Has worked great for supporting my 28" monitor.
