A nice figure that could have been a bit more dynamic
Boba Fett is possibly one of THE most iconic characters from the Star Wars universe, and has inspired many people to cosplay Mandalorians aplenty for years, and my hopes were high when I saw that they were adding him to the figures within the Star Wars Imperial Assault game.I wasn't fully disappointed, but was still upset when I saw the figure out of the box.For me, this could have been a Much more dynamically posed figure, but as it is, it seems cramped much too enclosed for my taste.A lot of detail has been lost due to the positioning of the arms cross-body, the upper torso turned as if looking behind/round a corner, and for me, it just doesn't look as confident as the character is portrayed in the films.A more open, expressive pose could have done so much more to emphasize just how deadly Fett is in action, with much more detail to paint and display as a result. However, I still like this figure, as it's nicely cast, with minimum mold lines, no warping of the base, and even has the Wookiee pelts hanging from his left shoulder. The rocket pack is also very nice, and the armour is well represented, although you may have to add a little more battle damage/wear and tear during the painting process to make it look better and more realistic.I didn't like the helmet antenna, as it was slightly bent, and wouldn't even bend back straight using heat, so I snipped it off, and replaced it with a slightly longer one using one of the micro-fine needles I use with my insulin pen instead (It's amazing just how many uses I can find for these, such as basing figures by inserting them into a figures foot, antennas, and so much more). After some very minor clean up (Use the green sponge from a pan scrubber for a MUCH better, smoother finish than using a file, or some damp wet and dry fine paper, to keep the dust down), I undercoated the figure, and then studied plenty of images from the Star Wars sites on the 'Net to make sure I got the right colours, and MOST importantly, getting the Deathwatch Icon on his left pauldron correct.A good paint job will make this figure stand out on the gaming table, and get you plenty of practice painting different surfaces, from armour, through cloth, hair and metal surfaces, and adding lots of nice little patches of battle damage/chipping really makes the figure come alive.I'd suggest watching a few painting tutorials on Youtube before tackling this figure, as they give so many hints and techniques to bring the cramped posture to life, and you'll also be led on from those to other tutorials that will help expand your model making and painting techniques.I've been collecting/painting figures since the 1970's, and have to say that the new Imperial Assault figures only fall down in the area of pricing, as they can be quite expensive, considering you're buying only up to three figures with some of the expansion packs, and Boba Fett is just one figure, with his stat cards and some glorious artwork to base your paint scheme on, but as I said, this could have been a much better figure if posed more dynamically. Then again, they may bring out some more later, in more action packed, open poses, with all the lovely detail there for our delight to paint (BIG hint, hint ;-) )With all the stat cards and art contained within this pack, it IS nicely priced, and makes a wonderful stand-alone character for the game it was made for, and the expansion set it was released alongside, and makes a seriously nice addition to anyone's collection/force.Don't just take my word for it, buy one (Or more, if you're like me :->), and find out for yourself.Happy modeling/gaming, everyone :-)

Descent 3rd edition with skirmish mode a sci-fi theme
A great game. This masterpiece is for people go likes RPG, chess and Star Wars. You don't need to be a fan of the saga, but definitely have an interest in sci-fi. Components are high quality and the core set can deliver 100-120 hours of gameplay across campaign, app and skirmish modes. Campaign is replayable thanks to many things and choices that may go differently, although you can expand the game to play new campaigns and add more cards and miniatures. Skirmish more is very interesting, if you get latest expansions it can deliver a great game experience and depth for advanced board games. I suggest this over Descent.

Great Miniature for an amazing game
The miniature is well detailed and with great pose, at least very uncommon, the set includes cards. missions and abilities, not very cheap for a single miniature but this is game expansion and any related to Star wars has usually an extra cost for the IP

I love this game
I love this game. I've tried RPGs in the past and been out off by the complicated rules, but with the assistance of the accompanying app, Imperial Assault is easy to get to started with the rules soon slotting into place. The app also allows you to play single player games, in case you don't have any geeky mates! Some of the minatures need some tidying up, but they are no worse than some of the games workshop figures I've purchased in the past. The scenarios are engaging, and not too long do you don't have to give up hours to fit in a game. Recommended.

Brilliant game!
This game is awesome! The nearest board game to a RPG videogame. It comes provided with everything you need to start and play there and then. The game mechanism is quite difficult to get at first but after getting the hang of it it become a second nature. To fully enjoy the game campaign you need to be minimum 3 however there's a 2 players mode which doesn't follow the campaign story. Absolutely love this game.

Nice Model
This is one of the more complex models done by FFG for their Imperial Assault boardgame. In common with other figures in this line it scales at about 28mm and is supplied unpainted as a simple snap-together kit which goes together without many problems.I have a few minor quibbles over the strict accuaracy of its appearance when compared with old movie stills but since the source material is contradictory anyway the fact that at LOOKS like an AT-ST should please most gamers and it`s an impressive model on the gaming table.Enough parts are supplied to build the `upgunned` General Weiss version or a standard AT-ST identical to the one provided in the core game and it also comes, as most of these booster packs do with additional unit, equipment and mission cards for the game.Overall its a nice model and useful as a game piece not only for the Imperial Assault game but any of the RPG`s or any other Star Wars wargame in 28mm that people are playing.

Very good game, a must have for board game fanatics who like star wars.
This game is simply brilliant, the game plays really well both playing skirmish and campaign. The rules are relatively straightforward for this type of game with some novel mechanics that add to the strategy and being star wars themed it has that extra factor making it a must have for any fan of the series and board game enthusiast. The game feels well balanced to the point that every game I've played so far has gone right down to the wire. The core set is pretty good value for money as there is plenty of play time in this box alone. The only downside is some of the characters in this box are represented by tokens, the missing characters are available as additional packs but obviously that puts the price up.

this game gets great reviews, is Star Wars
Wow, this game gets great reviews, is Star Wars, and Fantasy Flight using everything they learned from previous dungeon crawlers. If that isn't selling point enough for you, the actual play experience for me exceeded my expectations, even while sufficiently hyped. The 1st game is just amazing. The app, or steam game, which I ran on my tv in the background, walks you through and teaches you the game in the easiest and best way I've ever seen. And the game is super fun and thematic to boot.
