DOES NOT PLAY!!!!
I inserted these little puppies in my flower pots to deter squirrels from digging up flowers to bury their treasures..........it worked!! Now I put them in my vegetable garden to discourage cats, rabbits, opossum..... In fact, when you open the package, the garlic smell is QUITE strong. Great product!

Very disappointing for deer with Lilies
I am a perennial gardener; and as part of my garden I have several Asian Lilies spread throughout the yard. Over the years, they have prospered and grown into clumps of beautiful flowers. In their prime, they would put on quite a show. There were maybe 75 - 100 blooms over a 2-4 week period. If the weather was mild during bloom, the bloom would be on the higher side of that time range. Then came the deer. The deer eat most of the blooms before they color up and open. A few may open, but are gone by the next day. So now, I get to see maybe 10 blooms over the growing season for a VERY short time period.Last year, when I saw the first evidence of deer damage to my lilies, I put the 25 of the Orcon Plant Pro-Tec on my lily plants, as directed on the package. I fastened them just below the flower buds that were forming. The results were not good at all. It was not unusual to see the Pro-Tec at the top of the plant with the flower bud gone -- eaten by the deer. I may have seen a few more blooms than I did the year before -- but not by much. And the few that did open were gone the next day. I was very disappointed in this product. There was a noticeable garlic odor in the product when I opened the package the day I put them on the plants. But a month later, when I removed the Pro-Tec from the plants, there was no noticeable garlic odor. The deer's nose had to be within an inch or two of the Pro-Tec on some of the lilies they ate.

These usually work with rabbits
While these can be rather "odorific"(strong garlic smell), I have found that adding them to my plantings at least at the 1st season does keep the rabbits from chowing down on them. For best results: they do need replenishing every year and I usually add at least 2 per plant. But this certainly works a lot better than every spray or granules I have tried: convenient to use on flowers, perennials, shrubs.

THIS PRODUCT WORKS!
These Deer/Rabbit odor clips are the best deer repellent I have ever used. My first batch lasted through the summer and beyond. They saved my arborvitaes ... they actually came back! I highly recommend this deterrent if you have a deer problem!

Maybe some deer like garlic
I live in town yet the deer think it's one big buffet for them. I get tired of raising things to eat only to come out to find they have munched just enough of a squash or other vegetable to ruin it. Short of putting venison in the freezer, I need to find a way to deter them from choosing my garden and yard. I see these devices that claim to fend them off so I give them a try. I had a maple tree come up in a place that agreed with me so I wanted to keep it. I didn't know maple trees were on a deer's menu until they pretty much ruined it by munching the top off but I thought I could save it so I put 2 of these garlic clips on each of the remaining top stems. Didn't matter, they kept munching so I don't think there is any hope of getting a decent tree any more. I've been putting off planting other things until I could protect them with fencing or some other device as these garlic do-dads don't seem to affect them. I've even considered an electric fence or perhaps claymore mines (LOL). I have two apple trees that I've given up on so far as trying to get anything more than a few as they can reach higher than I can and I must be on their list of favorites as apples are one of their favorites for sure. Oh well.

This stuff really works!
I imagine not everyone will have the same results. I tried numerous things before buying this product. Lots of online remedies only worked for about a week (if at all), such as white vinegary, chili powder, even Juicy Fruit gum (which I thought really would do the trick).Anyhow, I didn't want to use other suggestions online, such as sit out in the backyard with a shotgun, set a trap, put out poison, use smoke bombs, pay $200+ for a professional to come out. I nearly purchased a sonic sound thingy that allegedly irritates gophers; however, lots of Amazon reviews said it also irritates human beings! So this non-poison gopher repellent ends up to be a much better choice, but it must be installed correctly to work. Not only did I study the instructions, I also called the manufacturer and they returned my call promptly and verified everything for me as I never had a gopher problem and was ignorant about it.This product was installed at least two months ago and there is not one gopher hole to be found. I was very very skeptical, needless to say. Even if they/it come back in a month, nothing else has worked that long, so it is a step in the right direction.

Our deer loved the new garlic flavor added to their pears
We bought these and clipped them all over our pear trees to try to keep the local deer from eating all our pears. My son gagged the entire time we were putting them out from the really strong garlic odor. Said he couldn't get the smell off his hands for three days. But the deer just kept right on snacking on our pears with not one moment of hesitation. On the other hand, they did seem to work on my mom's rose bushes. So maybe deer just like garlic-flavored pears...? Still not worth the money if they don't work on everything you want to protect.

Did not work in 2023/2024 at all
I bought two bags of these and they completely not effective at all. Deer are eating right up to on every plant. Feels as if they are attracting the deer. They have zero impact on deterring deer in 2023 Winter.Would like to get a refund on this product as I bought two bags of them and they did not work as suggested at all.
