Watercolor artist that should have listened to other reviews
It's small, lightweight and battery powered BUT it won't hold a charge between uses, doesn't heat up enough (less than low on hair dryer) is a PITA to turn on and the attachments cause what little heat it produces to cool even more. The amount of heated air that does come out is somewhere between the size of a nickel and quarter so plan accordingly. I thought I'd just tough it out so kept it past the return date but am looking for an alternative now.

Great for medical use
It works great for my needs. I manage a bunch of Field Engieneers for a medical device company. Our device is in the operating room. This means that we can't have any open flames. We also may not have easy access to power to plug in a normal heat gun. We also have to work in tight spaces. This tool works for what we need. When any repairs or maintenance to internals and we need to reapply shrink tubing, this is great. Can it be hotter? Yes. Can the shield be better formed? Yes. Could it work better without the shield? Yes. BUT, does it let me work in the OR without having to lug equipment outside? Heck yah...

Good for small jobs
I'm a mechanic for a school district. Buses are full of electronics and occasionally wiring issues. I bought this for use on heatshrink tubing and connectors. It works but it is slow, very slow. Heat gun or micro torch is instant and job done. This tool takes time to turn on, Heat up, shrink tubing or connectors then power down (over 5 seconds holding tiny power button down). Good points: small enough to carry in hand while carrying crimping tool, works for small 1 or 2 wire fixing jobs that time isn't an issue, and it's inexpensive. Battery holds a full charge for weeks so it doesn't require being plugged in all the time. Down side: very slow for heatshrink and doesn't get heavy heatshrink tubing hot enough or evenly shrunk. Turning on and off seems like it takes longer than expected. Conclusion: I am keeping the tool because, in my opinion, it has a use for me at times. I just wish the tip was a bit larger in diameter and gave little more heat to get done in a timely fashion.

This is a great tool
I have heat guns in my shop, but none in the house. I specifically needed a heat gun, for straightening feathers, when tying fishing flies and did not want a power cord in the way. This one is perfect. It recharges with a USB, is adequately hot for any household use, and the price was definitely right. It may not be right for large jobs. It will run for about 10 minutes at full heat before needing a recharge. More than what I need for my use.

Does Not Hold a Charge — Not Reliable for Use
I purchased this compact rechargeable tool expecting it to be convenient for quick jobs, but unfortunately it has not been reliable. The main issue is that it does not hold a charge. Even after fully charging, the battery drains very quickly, sometimes after minimal use. This makes it frustrating to use because it often needs to be recharged before the task is finished. When it does power on, the tool works as expected for short periods, but the poor battery performance outweighs the convenience of it being rechargeable. I’ve tested it multiple times to rule out user error, and the issue has been consistent. Pros: • Compact size • Easy to handle Cons: • Does not hold a charge • Battery drains too quickly to be practical Overall, this tool may work for very light or infrequent use, but due to the battery issue, it was not dependable enough for my needs.

Charging port broke the first day
Unfortunately this is a very cheap product. I really liked the size of it and the fact that it was cordless but the power/heat output was just too low and all I was using it for was to dry watercolor paintings. I ordered a new and different brand the same day I received this and I’m glad I did because it ran out of battery early on and the charging port broke when I went to charge it that same day.
