Fascinating look inside what makes the Mosin Nagant tick. David is also careful to let the reader know what steps which, although they may improve the weapon's function, would take the rifle out of qualification for a competition involving stock (unmodified) guns. I look forward to trying these techniques.

Good information about improving the performance of Mosin-Nagant rifles.While i wish it had more on Finnish modifications to the sear and trigger, and shim fitting, this book is worth the cost.EDIT November 2022-On greater reflection, I do not like this book. It is mostly about making major alterations instead of making them work the way they should have from the factory.

I have thevusual Moisen Nagant reference manuals. This one actually is full of useful details to get the small aggravating problems that Russian rifles seem to possess fixed and improved. It helped fix and get rid of small issues I had with my 91/30 Snipers, a M 91, and my Finn M 39s. Plus its a great read for collectors. A translation of one WW I manual suggested a mallet by carried by troops for sticky bolts in winter. If the mallet or hammer cannot be found a fist sized stone is a good substitute tool.to carry. These are not weapons needing TLC. With these hints the rifles will be improved. Use the tips other owners have discovered that work.

This book on the history and taking care of the Mosin-Nagant rifle/carbines is a great read! The flow and style are easy to internalize in short order. I'm getting into the tuning aspect of this book with a bit of experience, so hoping to learn some new tricks. I am giving this book a 4 out of 5 star rating. A simple improvement will make it a 5------ page numbering. Surprised an editor didn't catch this.

It's an ok book for a total novice. It touches on some of the history of the rifle and light maintenance. As for performance enhancements, it is terribly lacking. It covers bedding the action and some trigger enhancements that really won't do much for the heavy trigger pull. The pictures are b&w and terrible quality at best and a novice would have a difficult time trying to understand them. If you're looking for real performance enhancements, this is not the book.

Livre en anglais mais contenu très intéressant et complet. Actes techniques très bien expliqués et facilement réalisables.

El libro es muy corto, la informacion es mucho mas pobre de lo que parece debido al tamaño inmenso que usan en las letras. Ninguna ayuda sobre marcas y simbolos a la hora de comprar. Por lo demas es interesante lo que dice por su precios, pero las fotos son de mala calidad y poco visible. Me da mucha pensa ya que podian haber creado un libro mucho mas completo facilmente. No comprare ni uno mas de esta saga. Ire a otros autores mas caros quizas pero con toda la informacion.

This book is a very poor edition: many pictures are a simple scan-copy-paste from other books with very low resolution. For example the family tree of the Mosin Nagant has a resolution so low that is impossible to read the name of the different type of weapons.There are several typos in the book, that is not a great problem, but it seems that they comes from a wrong text capture from other texts.Some informations are indeed useful and interesting, but they don't worth the price
