Great idea that works great for my Igloo cooler
First, a few disclosures: I bought this with my own money and I am not an AI chatbot (or a summary cobbled together from reviews by an AI scraper). I am saddened that Amazon is plagued by reviews that are incentivized or not even written by actual humans, let alone people who have used the product. I am just a regular Joe who was trying to solve a problem and took a chance on a product that turned out to exceed my expectations and I wanted to share that. The problem I was trying to solve was with a recently purchased Igloo water jug. If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, you know just what I'm talking about: the red plastic, squattish cylindrical jug with the stopper and carrying handle you could get for a song. Turns out you still can--it cost me about $7 at Wally World, a fraction of the price of one of those trendy metal flasks. Those are easy to dent, hard to clean, and expensive. The Igloo, on the other hand, is easy to fill, easy to clean, and holds enough water to last a whole day. In short, I love it, but it has one drawback. Since it's relatively thin plastic, it doesn't insulate too well and the water doesn't stay cold. I thought I solved this by filling it up with ice from my icemaker before putting in the water. It did, but since my icemaker doesn't have a filter, it imparted a taste to the water that I found--distasteful. I figured that if I could make ice from the great tasting water from my sink, I could make this sticking point go away. That's when where this silicone ice tray comes in. I started looking on Amazon and found lots of ice trays, but I didn't want to have to fill several of these each night to have enough ice the next day for a full jug of water. In short, a traditional ice tray was going to be too much work. (First world problems, I know.) Then I happened to run across this ice tray, which makes just one giant 6-lb block. This seemed like just the trick! I measured my Igloo and compared it to the dimensions of the tray in the Amazon image, and it looked like the ice would just barely fit. But since I've found dimensions on Amazon to often be inexact at best, it still felt like a risk. I gambled and ordered it, and I was rewarded. As you can see in my images, it does indeed just barely fit. That's exactly what I wanted. I'm in my office now with the jug, which I filled over six hours ago, and the ice block is still mostly intact and the water is still ice cold. Try that with a Hydro Flask. So that's the specific purpose for which I ordered this ice tray, although I'm also looking forward to using it with my Titan Deep Freeze zipperless cooler. Since it comes as a pair of trays, that should equal over one small ice bag. These are pretty easy to fill--just be careful when transporting to the freezer, because it can easily slosh around and spill. I recommend leaving at least an inch at the top, which still produces a plenty big ice block. Fill it at night and it's solid in the morning. I was a little worried it would be hard to remove the frozen block, but I've found it to be supremely easy. The silicone is really flexible, so you can easily work it back and forth and side to side until it works free. I do recommend lifting it out by hand once it's free, because you could do some damage trying to dump this into another vessel. To sum up, this simple but nifty ice tray has exceeded my expectations and I'm unreasonably happy about purchasing it.

Great quality product - works as intended
I bought 4 x 5lb ice molds and they work great. I see many bought for the ice bath, and for that I learned need at least 30-40 lbs ice to get into mid-fifties Fahrenheit. I've since gotten a 1 HP chiller because I prefer my ice baths a bit colder. However, these ICE MOLDS are just fine, they produce the ice as advertised (just need to be extra cautious when loading into freezer). But they are great and will definitely allow for someone to do ice baths, you'll just need about 8 of the 5 lb. molds and enough space in your freezer to place them.Definitely will buy again if needed.

Freeze Your Soup
When I ordered these silicone trays I neglected to check the size. However I have to say they are perfect for freezing broths and soups. Simply fill up your tray with your favorite food, freeze it and then turn it over You’ll be amazed at how your food pops right out. I place my frozen soup in a siplock bag and put it back in the freezer. Silicone goes right in the dishwasher and last forever too.

Nice for slab or small block ice.
It gets very hot some days out here in the So. Cal. desert during the summer . I make a few blocks of this ice and add to a bag of ice and put in buckets and add some cool water to them. Then I cover the tops with cardboard and sheets of styrafoam to provide a cool place for ferral cats. The molds work well but sometimes difficult to remove ice from the mold when you first take it out of the freezer . Wait a few minutes and then it pops out easily.

Good idea
I bought these molds to make giant ice blocks to help keep our animals cool in the winter months. The silicone is a nice thick silicone and the giant ice blocks can be used for many things.

nICE blocks
These are much stronger than ones I’ve had in the past. I use these in my yeti and for my ice bath. Great size, releases the ice very easy and haven’t had any leaks
