Dry bean perfection
Just what I was looking for!

They don’t soften
I followed instructions and the beans never softened up. I looked up online and people said you have to soak these for days before cooking and not to eat them if they’re firm b/c they’re toxic unless soft! I cooked for 4 hours longer than package said and they stayed firm. And awful tasting. I would give zero stars if possible. Don’t buy these unless you are familiar with lupini beans.

Impressed
This is my sixth bag of these beans. I’m really impressed with the quality control and taste. Every bag I rinse and soak and during rinsing there is not too much dark water or rocks being found, if any rocks. Other brands are not as clean and prepped. These beans are excellent for Mediterranean spring and summer salads and I’m happy with them.

Amazing
These are excellent. I did the boil method and it does take a bit longer. Boiled for two hours and then let them sit covered for one hour. You want them to be al dente. I keep them in the fridge to snack on, add to dinner bowls and salads. Such a healthy treat packed with protein!

Take a Long Time to Cook
I soaked them overnight, then followed the cooking instructions, and 2 hours later they still weren’t done. So I put them in my pressure cooker for another 45 minutes and they were done. The next time I cooked them, I soaked them overnight, then just pressure cooked for an hour. Perfect.

excellent snack
These Simpli lupini beans make an excellent snack. I eat it as a healthy dessert. I like that it has the lowest carbs and most protein than any other bean. It has a taste all of its own, not like any other bean that I have eaten. I never noticed that these were a smaller bean, since this is the first time I am eating this bean but my mom said she remembered eating them before and they were a lot larger. they vary in size 1/4" in diameter to 3/8" x 5/8 in diameter for the larger ones. there are a few smaller than 1/4" in diameter. overall the beans seem average in size to me.I rinsed the beans, soaked them overnight in filtered water filling the water in the pan about 3/4 of the way. I simmered the beans on low heat for 5 hours for them to be done. You can tell since little bean particles/residue will start to stick to the side of the pan. at 5 hours they still have a slight crunchy texture and are not mooshy. depending on how you like your beans you can adjust the cooking time. I don't like to have to worry about the water running out that is why I just fill the pan up 3/4 of the way, so I don't have to add anymore water. You could use a broth if you did not want to use filtered water.I eat them plain but you can add them to any dish, soup, or put any sauce on them.zero stars for simpli customer service. i emailed them, since i found their cooking instructions confusing and they never replied. lol, i figured it out though.

Size
I've never seen a smaller lupini bean, would have been nice to specify it as ex. Small .
