Pleasantly Surprised – Don’t Let the Online Reviews Fool You
I was genuinely hesitant to pick up Assassin’s Creed Shadows at first, especially with all the online hate and trolling it seemed to attract before release. But I’m glad I gave it a chance—it turned out to be a respectable and enjoyable entry in the series. Maybe some of the backlash came from long-time fans expecting something closer to the original formula, but taken on its own merits, it’s a solid game. There’s plenty to do and explore, and the world feels rich and well-crafted. The gameplay is smooth, the visuals are impressive, and the story held my interest. If you're on the fence, I’d definitely recommend grabbing it on sale—you might be surprised at how much you enjoy it.

Return to form Assassin's Creed.
The setting makes this game interesting straight out of the gates. With great scenery, cultural differences handled sympatheticly and a proper engine for this generation. This is a much better creed game than Valhalla. With the promise of future DLC it will be interesting to see if it tops Odyssey. The adventure is packed full of quests and there seems more variety this time around. The little animation touches and differences when you are playing either one of the two main characters is beautiful.I've had a lot of pleasure out of building up my hideout. This brings the joy of the AC Unity base enhancement back. Valhalla never really hit the mark for me with it's attempt. It's collection of weapons and armour are good and gives player choice but they sometimes feel a jumble. Once you find you look and fight style the rest quickly become trash or mon (in game currency). Talking of in game currency, there seems to be a confusion of helix points, mon and resources all admittedly serving different purposes but it gets a bit messy. It's a rock solid game with beautiful visuals and the variety to match. Can't wait to see what the DLCs bring.

A tried and true assassins creed game. 10/10.
Genuinely a 10/10 experience, haven't felt this way about an assassin's creed since syndicate, and I'm truly glad it's good. The graphics are probably the best I've seen the series, combat feels ALOT better than the other RPGs in the newer games and stealth is incredibly satisfying. So far I've sunk 30 or so hours into the game, and yet I am still finding new things to do and enjoy. Gameplay can get fairly repetitive at some points, which is why I would recommend playing at higher difficulties. Facial capture (or the lack there of it) can be somewhat off-putting at some points in the game, but I truly could not care less. This is truly an assassin's creed game, and it brings me hope for future games in the series, especially with the engine it's using, because damn the game looks excellent (the rumoured black flag remake with these graphics will be superb if true). I would ask that you actually try the game before buying, because it's definitely not for everyone, and don't listen to those grifters who cry "woke" from the hilltops, although the story isn't the best, it's never the reason you play an AC, it's the experience/power fantasy. Definitely a worthy purchase, and it's solidified itself as one of the only good RPG assassin's creeds.

Beautiful game
Eagerly awaited this release and I’m not disappointed, well for the most part. Although that’s only due to me missing some of the other Assassins Creed features. The game itself is fantastic, so much to do so many quests and contracts etc. the visual aspects of the game are awesome. You have the ability to play as one of two characters, once the second one has been unlocked. The power of Yasuke and the agility of Naoae, just wish Yasuke could utilise the vision of Naoae. If you’ve never tried an Assassin’s Creed game, give it a go it’s definitely worth the money.

Great Game, worth the money for the time invested
Great Game, Value for Money with Time To Complete.Pros - This has all the great features of previous RPG series of Assassins Creed, whilst finally being set in feudal Japan. I wasn't much a fan of Valhalla, if you enjoyed Origins and Odysessy you will enjoy this game. It's not perfect but a solid 8 or 9 / 10.What i really like about this, is that there are a lot of secrets to explore which you will only encounter just by exploring rather than any in game HUD pointers. Great feeling when you find a pretty legendary chest of loot.Cons - It is still a massive game and to no detriment of itself, i have only managed to reach the 2nd area. Probably spent about 30 hours in the first area, had to see everything!

A Unique & Refreshing Assassin’s Creed Experience!
As a long-time Assassin’s Creed fan since 2007, I was excited to see the series venture into new territory and this game did not disappoint! It's the first time the franchise is set in Japan, offering a fresh cultural backdrop compared to the usual Middle Eastern and European settings. I truly appreciate this bold and unique direction. The graphics are absolutely stunning, beautifully capturing the atmosphere and details of feudal Japan. On top of that, the gameplay controls feel incredibly smooth, responsive, and fast paced, making each moment enjoyable and immersive.Overall, this game delivers a fantastic and refreshing Assassin’s Creed experience. Highly recommended for both fans of the series and newcomers alike!
