Very nice filters and easy install on the mask. I feel very protected when I use these and clean out my chicken coop.

Please know in advance what it is you want to filter and buy a filter for that this filters exactly what it claims to (organic vapor and particles) if you are working with chemicals or cleaning fluid you would likely want something that works with ammonia which is an inorganic vapor (one of the downsides of the current review system is you cannot comment on reviews so I'm making sure to mention ammonia as the most recent one star person did not understand what this filter filters and incorrectly gave it 1 star because it doesn't filter what it doesn't claim to filter.) There are many websites online to explain the type of filters for respirators please look at those and then purchase the right ones for your use. (Organic vapors come from solvents and painting, and the Carbon in these filters captures that, as well as particles from sanding and cutting.) once again, do not attempt to use these types of filters (organic vapor and particulate) with ammonia or acid gas as they will not work *NOR SHOULD THEY*. However for organic vapor and particulates (for say woodworking) these work perfectly at a good price.

I had never used the canisters prior. I feel so much better about sanding plastics than I did without them.

This filter is not effective with filtering ammonia based fumes.

I have no tools to authenticate that it works properly. That said, I often clean with bleach and wear a respirator and have not had a problem with these. They were easy to put on and no smell or irritation was coming through.
