The reason for the three stars are the only direction as far as I can tell is Picture #6, that's it! For a welder that is more or less an entree welder, and the fact it can use gas I believe warrant more then a page of vague instructions.I like that you do not have to switch the wires inside the unit using a buss bar. Instead you can use the connector on the front panel (picture #2) to reviser your polarity. Set up is not a problem as long as you research it out because their are no instructions for it. Once again a nice little unit that is very lightweight and does the job well. Just make sure if you never had a welder before you are prepare to do some research homework.

First, this was easy to figure out and I am not a prolific figure outer. I am a sous chef in a restaurant owned by a cheap company that does not like spending money fixing and replacing metal utensils.I got an estimate for a bunch of things we needed to fix and the estimate was nearly $1000. I looked on Amazon and found this so I figured that I could save my employer a lot of money. I was right. After about an hour of initial learning and experimenting to get the right technique using some junk metal utensils we were going to throw away I got the hang of it and lined up about a dozen little repair projects. I am happy to report that I got them all done in under one 8 hour shift and that would be fast for me. The average person could probably do it in 5 and an expert maybe in 2-3 hours but I'm OK with that.I presented my handiwork to my boss who is ecstatic. Now I'm the one my employer is going to bring little welding jobs to periodically. Also, I ended up with a $1 raise out of it and that works out to about $2000 a year added income so I'd say this was a good choice for me.To say I am happy with this is an understatement. I highly recommend this welding kit, at least for beginners.

Seems to stick alot to workspace. But I'm new to welding so it will be.trual ams error. But good strong metal case and connectors are decent quality! Good beginner welder!

This compact welder will weld using TIG, MIG, or stick welding, it even comes with a small welding mask (you have to hold it with one hand, but it’s workable), considering that a similar welder costs 3 times that much, this is a bargain, it comes with all the cables needed to weld!!!!
