Excellent piece of kit. Keeps the room cool and thermally insulates the extractor pipe.

Fits a standard 5-5.9" air conditioner vent pipe but I to get the Velcro strip to meet round my standard vent pipe. It’s top quality though, and thick, but you’ll need more than the 3 elastic buckle bands supplied (see photo), to hold it in place over the distance that air conditioners need to be away from the vent wall. I had to order several more buckle bands for my 60cm vent pipe. Easy to fold over to give double thick protection if needed.

According to the smart meter, my Aircon is saving 5p an hour with this sleeve installed.

I read other reviews about this lowering the room temp by a few degrees and so I bought it. I'm not convinced it has helped me.

These work OK in terms of keeping the heat inside the exhaust hose of a portable air-conditioning unit. They work best with the 100 - 125mm diameter flexible hoses, although it was still a bit of a struggle to get the sleeve closed around a bendy hose and the elastic straps in place.However, my a/c has a hose of that size joined to an extension section that's more like 150mm diameter. Fitting the insulating sleeve to that, I felt a bit like I was one of the Chuckle Brothers... bits of white plastic hose kept popping through the insulating sleeve as I struggled to close the velcro fasteners and put the black elastic straps around it all. Now look what you've done, Barry!Other than that, it works well. Pack your patience and make sure no-one is filming you while fitting it!
