Charming Light-Hearted
Charming love story about finding love when you least expect it even if it means going through a worm hole and being trapped in the future for fives years. Do not expect the science to be explained in this one. My first time reading this author and enjoyed the storytelling. I definitely appreciated the humor between the expectations vs reality of being a gym teacher vs an English teacher as an English teacher. The narrators in this story are top-notch and definitely bring the story to life.

Quick & Fun Listen!
Overall 4 starsPerformance 5+ starsStory 3.5 starsI have always enjoyed Cara Bastone's writing, so I went into this one blind. The premise is a quirky one for sure and I think as long as you don't truly try to understand the how and why of the time travel/wormholes, you will have a really enjoyable listening experience. The characters were very sweet and this was a wonderful twist on the forced proximity trope. Mikey was such a loveable golden retriever! The full cast narration and sound effects were a fantastic surprise and the book played out just like a movie. Noah Reid and Zoe Chao were so perfectly cast and they brought Cara Bastone's amazing banter to life. I was grinning while listening to this one and though there are some more serious topics discussed in the story, the overall message is very heartwarming and hopeful.CW: death of parent (past), grief, parent with degenerative memory issues, mentions of workplace homophobia and racism (past), anxiety

Feel Good and Cute!
I blew through this audiobook in nearly one sitting. It was fast moving and easy to follow. Definitely a little cheesy at times but I needed some cheese after a heavy thriller. I’ll be checking out more of Cara Bastone’s books for sure!Oh and the reading performers were fantastic! It made it so much fun to listen to and visualize.
