Perfect fit
Direct replacement for my air filter. As for performance improvement. It may be a slight bit better but not enough to say for certain. I'm still very happy with it. Great product, cheaper than bmw dealer cost of $165 non cleanable. 2009 x5 35d

Immediate increase in performance and mileage
I’ve used this KN reusable air filter for the last 25 years On every car I buy I swapped out the OEMAnd consistently with every Engine foreign and domestic but I have seen an Immediate increase in performance and mileage on my 2013 BMW X5 E70 35D
