It works exactly as described. If you use the fuel that is recommended for this product, you will not have any problems. If you decide to not use the fuel that is described in the directions you will have problems. So follow the instruction booklet and your good to go.

The media could not be loaded. The flame this thing produces is gorgeous. My phone pictures don’t do it justice. It has a tall flame even though I’m only using 70% isopropyl alcohol.It does require a long handled lighter, which I didn’t realize until I set it up and viewed the instructions. I went out on a special trip and bought one so I could try my new gadget.This comes with two chambers that have wool for holding the fuel. The larger chamber that these get placed inside (one at a time, the second being a backup) is for safety. Based on the instructions I received which may be newer than some others got, you are not supposed to put fuel in that chamber without a wool-lined chamber inside it.I took a video of lighting it since I was not clear about whether the lighter flame should touch the liquid. It should. The flame really gets going a few moments after lighting it, so if it looks short at first, be patient. The flam will reach the top of the glass and a bit beyond.Very happy with this.

This fire lamp good amazing at night, just remember it doesn’t come with the liquid you need and it burns out fast if you don’t put a lot inside. Remember to buy the liquid separately.

Tabletop fire pit is well made and looks high end. The fire pit was easy to set up just slide the glass into place. Fuel is not provided. When lit it had a tornado like effect and looks so cool. I have it on my patio and it is so relaxing I find myself just staring at it. We use it solely for decoration.

I have several of the “tabletop” fire pits and have loved all but one. However, this unique “tornado” is in a class of its own. It is designed to lend ambience, not for roasting marshmallows. Following precautions, this lantern can be used indoors but I will probably only use it outdoors because I am so cautious.The three glass panels easily slid into place and were held securely by concealed brackets. Air drawn into the cylinder through the small gaps between the glass panels causes the swirling tornado effect that is so mesmerizing – and like no other tabletop fire pit that I’ve ever seen.I was very happy to see that, unlike the online images suggest, there was no branding on the base: a logo would have detracted from the high-end appearance. Quality construction. Everything was very protectively packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Parts disassemble easily for cleaning and storage.Bioethanol fuel is recommended – it contains over 95% alcohol. Rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol can be substituted -- look for 91% rather than 70%. I don’t know what would occur if 99% isopropyl alcohol was used.The included instruction booklet was printed in a large, legible font and had multiple diagrams. Assembly was simple and fairly self-explanatory. However, the booklet did not answer several questions that a user new to tabletop firepits might have. My explanations:Q: Why the 2 different combustion (burn) chambers? (Note: the burn chambers are different than the outer “safety container” that the burn chambers fit into – diagram labeling is not fully clear about this.)A: To allow 2 different flame heights and associated burn times.Q: What is that white stuff in the bottom of one combustion (burn) chamber?A: It is ceramic wool, which modulates flame height and lengthens burn time.Q: Why isn’t there ceramic wool in the other burn chamber?A: I don’t know. Maybe because the manufacturer felt it wasn’t needed for the size of that particular combustion chamber?Q: Does ceramic wool ever need to be replaced?A: Yes, after multiple uses the white wool turns black indicating it is time for replacement. Extra can be obtained through Amazon or other sources. Simply use household scissors to cut to fit. Wearing protective gloves is recommended.This unique “tornado” firepit is exceptional and I love it. There is nothing that I dislike. It is beautiful whether unlit or during use. Recipients would be thrilled by this fabulous gift. Highly recommended!

This is the best tabletop fire bowl I've ever had. It really does have a tornado effect to the fire that is mesmerizing beyond a normal flame. Lighting this bowl instantly makes it the focal point of the patio. I used alcohol in this because it was the fuel available to me. I can't imagine that using a different fuel will garner different results except maybe for burn time. The instructions are clear and mostly grammatically correct. They're clear enough that most people will have a clear understanding of the use and safety precautions of the bowl. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this as it is actually nicer in person than it seems in the description photos. I definitely recommend this.

I love this fire pit. It is great for smores, easy to use and the flame is protected to minimize any burns. Such a cute thing to have on your table. Love that I can use it inside or out.

Produces a nice spiral flame along with a pleasant amount of heat for roughly 45 minutes.
